you cant add trichomes with a cure. the plant produces them during growth, genes have alot to do with resin production in a plant. the only affect on them during cure would be advancement of amber from milky ratio.

sorry for the lack of pics, but not after the +rep. hope this helps a bit for ya. hope brick top chimes in, he is the trichome master...

When plants are harvested not all THC will be in a psychoactive form. Through proper drying normally at least most of the non-psychoactive THC becomes psychoactive but it will not in all cases. All that happens to trichomes during curing is any non-psychoactive THC in the trichome heads will then have more time to become psychoactive.

That means proper drying followed by proper curing will bring out the most that can be brought out of the harvested herb.

It does not and cannot improve on any limits placed by genetics and growing conditions/system/style/procedure/skill/knowledge/fate and luck or a lack thereof.

All it can do is take what you have and make the very best of what itself could in the end be if someone were willing to do all it would take to achieve that.

OK .. additional: other substances in the trichome heads will also somewhat change in the process but they are all at best a distant second in importance to what happens to THC in curing.

Not to sound rude but if you know all about trichomes you know that is where THC is created. Once you kill the plant its function’s cease and progression halts and then it transforms.

No new additional THC can be created, new/additional trichomes will not grow and then on some produce THC producing resin-heads.

The actual level of THC, as in amount or volume, will not increase during curing but what is still in a non-psychoactive form will then turn into a psychoactive form so in simple English you then get more bang for the same amount of bucks.

You simply maxed out your harvest.

Now I do not know what constitutes; "crystals poof " but if what I have said between these last two messages does not equate to; "crystals poof" then the answer is no, you will not see a; "crystals poof" reaction by curing.

If what I said does equate to a; "crystals poof" then yes you will get a; "crystals poof" reaction.

Proper curing does not create fluffy cured buds. Fluffy buds that are then cured create fluffy cured buds.

I fully understand …. and in my case I was just being my typical sweet, gentle, kind, considerate, empathetic, understated, mild-mannered oh so lovable self.
