Well first of all I am a rookie grower, Just a couple of long days of research under my belt, so hang with me!

I think I have decided to go with a hydro system (the one in the 20 gal container where you put 4-6 net pots in the top of the lid.) neways once you get the seed to pop and take root and then put it in the pot for the veg stage. And the veg stage is done and you are ready to go into flowering do I switch to bigger pots? The reason why I ask is because I see the soil pots are so big and the hydro pots are so small I was wondering if the four inch pots are big enough?

If anyone is familiar with my set-up and knows of a good video for me to watch on this setup, that would help too!!

Dude, just look up hydroponics on youtube, there is soooooo much information out there bro!

man i have! and yes there is a ton of info! but my particular set-up is not shown all the way through the growing cycle? the ones that i have seen all the way through is not exactly like the setup i want to do! i watched the how to grow green 9part series on there and its real close but he uses a slightly different system so it throws me off..

You either have to find a way to improvise or do it the same way as on youtube.

Believe me, if you set things up the right way in the beginning then everything will be much easier on you. And don't compare the pot size from hydro to soil application because it is way too different. With your bucket system, you are basically growing the roots in air and the water at the bottom mists the plants or a bubble system provides oxygen to the wet roots. I doubt your plant will outgrow a 5 gallon bucket unless you are going to veg for 3-4 months.

Check this site out: www.simplyhydro.com/system.htm

It basically explains the 6 different types of hydro applications.
