Do i need more wattage/lights in my grow box

Wats up everyone! Complete first time grower here, literally knew nothing 2 weeks ago and started learning everything i could since then.
Ive planted 6 mid seeds (bag seed) in vigoro organic soil just to test the water before i order seeds. 5 days later They all popped out and im doing the best of my knowledge to nurture them. Im using 2 42 watt cfl's about 4" away and 1 64 watt plant light i threw in about 1 foot away. Do i need more lighting? Are my babies looking good at day 5?

good for 1 low stress trained plant. i have been under the impression with cfl's you probably want 150 watts or more per foot of plant height and width. dont forget to count the stretch in flower

i currently have one plant (bag seed) under 4 23watt cfl's (3 3500k and 1 2700k) and i've been experi-growing (started out with 4 plants under 2 150watt cfl's both 2700k), and she is doing quite well. if i would have known what i know now she would be quite impressive. but i suggest 5 23watt cfl's per plant and to brush up on knowledge on all lights

For the best start i recomend 500w of cfl for sprouts under 18/6 time period. The wattage that you have now is ok for now but pushing it as far as NOT NEARLY ENOUGH LIGHT ENERGY. I started three plants under 8 45w cfl=6500k and (4) 33w cfl=6400k. Man do they put you a week+ ahead of most others. This also is in a 4•6•2 grow tent. Your strategy should be aiming for more spaceand light energy NOW while that 150 watts is keeping them occuppied. Its good to keep lights as close as possible without burning heat so that your plants will NOT STRETCH. Small grow space and stretch SUCKS HORRIBLY... :( But they will grow quick. NO NUTES untill about 16-21 days. If you do just enough to get their attention. For instance if the instructions says 5 mills give them 2.5 mills or a pinch less. Water as needed but DO NOT over water for it is easy to do that. Thinking they need it when they dont. Those babies looking good :) Take you work serious and enjoy you new love. There will be mistakes that want to join in so know that NOW. And keep you eyes on them and study them. Temps for the space you have it would be good to keep at 70°F-73°F even 75°F but NO HIGHER or you might as well get the popcorn... for your new microwave... lol :) and you humidity level between 45-60 even 65%. If you have them in card board, I cant really tell, but watch out for water(humidity) absorbtion. It will cause mold at the space of a bathroom trip you know what I mean... But we're here for you. Good Growing.downloadfile.jpeg 7 DAYS OLD under the wattage I spoke of...

It looks good! In your space I'd go with 1-2 plants. You won't believe how spacey they can get. You can veg them all together, switch to flower and then remove all males and weaker plants. Other than that, generally the more light there is the better, this what will most tell you. I have a grow now with a single plant and only 4 23w cfls, works alright ;) Good luck!

20150411_030120.jpg 20150411_023242.jpg Thanks guys for your replies, Great responses! Sorry for late reply, was having problems separating those 2 plants in black pot. Thought I killed my babies!
Quick update, I've pretty much got my lighting down pack now. Killed 4 plants off do to space accommodations. now just have 2 3 week old seedlings ready for vegging I think. No hydroponic stores where I'm at. Any good simple fertilizers out there I could use.
Note: no one pay attention 2 the one on the right reaching for light. kinda showing favoritism to the other one because it's doing better.

if you don't have local hydro store might as well order them online. most nutes can be used on any plant so it shouldn't ruse any supposition

Okay got it, but what NPK numbers should I get, i know the ratio amounts but how high a number? Sum would say amount for vegging is 2-1-3 ratio. So do I get something that say
6-3-9 or 10-5-15 or higher? Excuse me if I make no sense, not a math person. Overall wat I'm trine say is do I aim for high npk numbers or low?

You have the right idea about it all. You definately want to get some splitters and add more light asap. You dont want your plants growing and going through maturitu without the right lighting according to the stages of maturity. Then as far as NPK, you want to stay within the ranges of 4-8-7, 9-3-7, 3-4-6, you can even go 9-9-9 until you get the hang of things. Your first grow you want to grasp the basic concepts and pick up knowledge at the same time. If you are business oriented you'll be more adamant at being strict and focused. Just relax mentally and keep your mind stable as far as rushing. It's going to grow and produce if take slow and pay attention to the plants. Never show favortism they are all healing plants and still produce whether it's lots or less. You're going to have to shop on line. The reason your plant is leaning towards the light is because it's not enough light honestly. Thus you need some 6500k, or 6400k with hints of 5500k. The 6500k and 6400k help keep your plants shorter and bushier. Never grow cannabis plants together. That death to the plants. Main roots and roots in general will tangle and could possibly cause shock. Make sure youre not over watering and and have air flow. And keep your humiditu proper and grow space sanitized. Plants could be bigger but there is lots to learn.

You said ready for vegging... youre in veg..lol :) If you meant ready for flower, their not mature enough. Usually maturity doesnt begin until the 5 week. Honestly, it depends because I saw a 2week old plant looking like it was 2months. But of course it was under 20,000 watts... Got me lusting... Cant wait to drop them 1000snd of watts on plants... But you need more light and theyre not ready. If you want to produce somewhat of a nice yield.

Thanks guys, appreciate the answers. When i said I had the lights down pack, I meant that I know what I need, still have 2 buy some more. Found some Maxi Gro 10-5-14. So got my fertilizer, maybe not the best for cannabis idk, but it'll show results.
Garden Gardian had some good points. Being a little impatient, I can't lie. I'm just anxious to feed my babies so they can get a lot bigger. They are officially 3weeks today, gotta face the fact that these bag seeds might not have good genetics. Anyway 1 more question. My soil was pre fertilized, so do I flush em before feeding?
Note: will no longer play favoritism to just 1 plant, just didn't thank the other would last. Thanks for the advice

i would go straight into feeding them, but then again ima hydroponics kinda guy so soils maybe a bit more tricky, and the soil bag should tell you how long the soil feeds for and after thats up thats when you should start feeding, but remember you shouldn't be watering everyday and you should be feeding like once a month while its still small.

O shit guys! I accidentally told you guys my plants were 3 weeks old from seed. When they are actually 2 weeks old (planted on the 29 of march). I read my thread so much i believed they were 3 weeks, smh. To the people watching this thread sorry. I need to stop smoking weed, lol. I feel a little better though knowing they look like that at 14 days old. They look good right? Can I start feeding or wait another week?

What you want to do is powder the top modestly and once you cover the top chern it in about close to an inch or so really thorough. And dont use it for about 3-4 weeks. After you mix it in at the top water lightly until you see it coming out the bottom. And dont water til about 3 days. Order you some splitters.
