DNA Genetics Tangilope Attitude Freebie

Well RIU I'm going to attempt my first journal here and welcome all the expected flames...
I jumped on the attitude birthday promo and got my beans today. After reading many people saying the tangilope bean looked "small" "not viable" "that's what you get for a freebie" comments. After buying TONS of genetics I would have to agree with most peoples view on these tangilope freebies... So with nothing to loose and a few zip of dank possible I filled a 1liter airpot with some sunshine mix #4, mosquito dunk, some earth juice roots (mycos), and a sprinkle of lime than onto the heat mat for a few hours. In three to five days it's never failed I've had a sprout waiting for me
it's a bit hard to tell from the picture just what's up with the bean to have so many question it... Well hopefully by this time next week we'll see if she's viable...

Well RIU, I can report back that indeed the seed was viable. Unfortunately I did not sow it deep enough. I found it with shell still stuck on growing downwards... I fished her out carefully and put her right side up and recovered her a bit with some soil... We shall wait and see if she makes it...

Well folks we got life! She's barely popping her head out of the ground but is at least the right way up.... Am hoping that she makes it . Going go just give plain water with occasional rhizotonic... Sitting under a 1000w hps for entire grow... See what becomes of her... Hoping she pulls through her vary rough start....

Well it's been really slow going here with this gal... I think it's partially my fault for the trouble she had starting off and also I think the medium was to hot... Starting to pick up the pace now

I have one growing now also. its growing super slow also its been one month from seed. looks almost identical but I am growing in hydo.

@Slimjimham great catch! Spider mites: check. White powder mold issues: check. Shitty grow environment that I've started fixing: check. I hit the little gal a couple of weeks ago with forbid to nuke them bastards! Figured I'd hit them right before the flowering begins... Got some great white, amongst a slew of other things to take a multi angle attack on these beasties. Do not want anything getting use to any one thing and become resistant against it... Not trying to trAin super borgs.thankfully between all the different things I've been doing I've been making it harvests without no signs of pest damage or mold , turning most of my meds to BHO. Until I get room in check. Thanks for looking out!

Can't grow such a little fighter and not seed her...

Some pollen on hand to choose from 2006
Northern Lights by female seeds (reversed pollen, done with STS), or we got reg tom hills x18, or a couple of autos to possibly try definitely got pollen of Crazy X's Mossy's Jem (Mazaar x lowryder),
Some f1 purple chem x lowryder fem pollen....

Any thoughts guys?

Another update on the Tangilope… This little gal has really surprised me! She's pulled thru! I transplanted her into a 2gal air pot with gold label special mix coco…. Was able to grab a couple of clones from her… Will see if she's worth selfing once she's done….Very nice structure on her….

Well not a lot visits to my journal but that's all right I like to finish what I started and not to leave journals hanging. The tangilope
Has proven to be one helluva a strain! The terps on her are out of this world.. She has a very sweet smell to her that's hard for me to describe due to my poor sense of smell but for me to say something smells and is smelling good it's got to be a strong scent
She a a frost covered beast! I was so impressed with her I thankfully was able to get some clones from her. I sprayed one the other day with STS and threw it into 12/12 to reverse and self her. Would love to play more with this strain down the line...so here she is the mother and a bud shot

If you could describe the smell would you say it smells like Tang the drink or Citrus hand cleaner or like a Cantalope/Melon at all?

I got 6 of these beans vegging in rockwool right now I'm really excited to see a journal on this strain. Good looking bud.

@booms my sense of smell is not great, so not good with the smell descriptions other than she's got a fruity sweetness to her, @rob thanks bro! @urbanfarmer would love to watch your grow on theses!
My tangilope clone is fully reversed! Yay! Just now waiting for s/he to jizz their goods all over! Sacs just started showing in abundance the past couple of days, so I am thinking this week when I get a day off I'll transplant the other clone into a larger pot and throw her into the 12/12 tent to make some s1's of this sexy lady! Im dying to grow out some more of these to really learn the strain for possible future project down the road…

Well here are some updated pics, I think I'll feed her heavy for a couple of more days than will start a flush this week on her….

Well, the tangilope has been getting straight up tap water this last week plus, Im thinking she's going to be getting the chop sometime this week. Her aromas is sweet and fruity. Very pleased on her ease of growth and the resilience of this strain. She really handle what ever I threw at her, and proved to be pest and disease resistant to an on going battle I have with spier mite, and white powder mold.
I am also happy to report the reversed clone is finally starting to drop the s/him pollen, have a little collected so far. I also have her clone repotted and threw her in to 12/12 a few days ago. I plan on making some s1 tangilope, and am also happy to say I got ahold of another bean of the Tangilope so I will be able to make f2's of her and than really have a good genetic pool of phonos to hunt and learn the strain if I choose to use her in future projects. I will continue this thread with the progress of the just put into flower clone.
So to wrap-up this first part of the tangilope chronicles here is a pic and a bud shot of her…
