DJ Shorts Flo vs Cocoa Kush

i've only grown from seeds a couple times from friends, ive almost always grown from clone but i have been wanting to pick up some seeds for a while. one of my local collectives has these two strains and i was wondering if anyone has had any experience with either of them. Or if anyone thinks i should just go with some tga/DNA/OGR because theres tons of those in all the collectives around here.

not sure who OGR is, but the other 3 breeders all have good gear. TGA & DNA have my top 2 strains... JC2 & sweet haze. DJ shorts is a little more expensive than i like to get, but i've only seen love for his gear so far.

when it comes to blueberry though, i definitely like fruity sweet haze better for a superior buzz and along the same mid-level stone, like the more authentic & exotic flavor of DNA sour cream more. if there's a DJ shorts strain i'd get it would be grape krush

Dj Shorts Flo has been around a Loooong time. A lot of people like it as its a nice lighter smoke with a good indica buzz and finishes fast. It has a classic Candalabra shape to it if left un pinched.
I have grown out Shorts Blueberry, Moonshine and Flo.. he used to use knockdown genetics years ago but I never had issues. His blue Moonshine is a very nice stout hash plant. If I were to recommend a strain from him, it would be that one!
Dna is a step up on gear for sure... my jury is out on TGA.. Ive read some bad things about hermies and duds.. although everyone says great things about his chernobyl and ace of spades.

Weed nerd sucks too.. lay of the tunes and talk about breeding.

As much respect as I have for DJ as a breeder I must say that I was kinda let down by Grape Krush. It is a VERY homogenous line. Probably the most stable strain I've personally grown. Only minor differences in phenos. My problem was with the taste and high. I just could never get it to taste good and I ran 5 phenos about 4 times. The taste is what I would call bland and uninspiring. No grapeness in the phenos I got. Organic grower, btw. The high also, IMHO, and that of my partner was weak compared with strains like Vortex or Void. I did have friends that said they could not function after smoking it, but they have weak tolerances. Now I cannot say you won't find a killer pheno. It is out there according to other things I've read and seen, but IMO if you r going to pay DJ Short prices, which are normally very high then try F13, Flo, or the Old Time Moonshine if you can find em' Happy Growing!

guess i got the pack with all the grape tasting grape krush and was lucky :weed: i had two distinct lines i would say one heavy and the other light. the lighter more sativa pheno was what i kept in mothers. I find if you let it go until nov. when the plants break or fall over the taste/high are superb.

Flo is what i would pick if it was flo vs coco

I'd personally go with the cocoa kush; sounds dank. Flo makes me paranoid and anxious; and I was pretty sure it was a full sativa. It sure grows like one.

Just ordered a pack of Cocoa Kush. I normally adhere to the strict rule of no less than three packs to find a single female keeper, but since DJ's prices are so ridiculously high, I took a gamble on a single pack of ten. Well see. Been eyeing that strain for years.

I tried a 10 pack of DJ flo a while back. Completely unimpressive. 7 of 10 were duds. The three that grew were female. The buzz was one dimensional and short lived. It wasn't too hard to grow, but the payoff for the trouble was less than worth it.

I'd go with dj's blue moonshine.nice yield, great taste and smell, and was potent as hell.made some killer hash from the trim too.Flo looked and smelled good but was lacking potency
