DJ Short varieties of Colorado

@UncleBuck what other than the lack of potency di you not care for the Flo. I personally have not come across a flo i would describe as spicy, though I have heard the description before from other growers. Though not with the ones I have run. She is a burning incense for us, with the flavor and aroma so unique, almost of nag champa.

NO blue velvet? Bluemoonshine?
I've smoked blue velvet but never grew it. The cut I smoked was very tasty. Some of the best tasting I've had. Very sweet, candy-like taste. Wasnt as potent as a lot of strains. If you were growing it id buy just for the taste alone. Or if you had seeds of it id be stoked about that to. I personally think GDP and flo have very different taste/effects, but that is just me and to each their own.

@Exactie thank you. See this is a problem I have been slowly working out as time goes by and I get more trustworthy clones. GDP was a bit different I just feel they are all related somehow I would love to see all the pics of Flo and BlueBerry they have. This helps sometimes

THe Flo and Blackberry are very similar, as is the Gdp, and yes @DukeOG Granddaddy purps, not saying its the same I simply believe them all to be related in some fashion. Flo breeds well and I have seen her impart a great deal of flavor and aroma to her offspring. Along sometimes with the lower potency

ANybody seen Bluemoonshine? Blue Velvet? I heard the Blue Moonshine was still in Ned floating around, anybody else hear that?
I've got a cut of Blue Moonshine that migrated down to NM.

I was growing shishkaberry for a while, still got f2 seeds if anyone is interested. Not running the cut anymore... smelled like hashy berries, not the greatest yielder, nice colors though.

Here's a bud leaking some sap, heh I think my skills may have improved a bit since this was taken, ;)

Does DJ have a shishka? I thought that was a Spice of Life (& later Chimera) strain.
Sorry if I'm wrong... don't remember where I got them from, just did a quick search and it looked like it was DJ....

EDIT: Yeah, looks like I was too hasty, you're right it was SOL from DJ blueberry, sorry about the noise!

Pretty sure my shishka came from Chimera who used to work w Breeder Steve / Spice of Life.

Not a fan of the plant myself. Never actually smoked any of it but as a grower it's not my favorite. Maybe that sounds stupid but I guess you get preferences when you run 60+ strains at a time.

I have a Grape Krush x Colorado tange (temple flo x grapefruit) cut should be done here within the next 10 days.. I will get some finished pics up. I love dj shorts genetics the most exotic/tasty plants around. Also have a grape krush it is in the veg cant wait for that my buddy says it looks like the plant got spray painted. The best Flo plant is the Dj shorts Temple Flo cut its all over in the dispensaries in Colorado this is the cut DJ hand selected and handed to the medical scene tastes like a sweet/sour very punchy Temple Nepalese hashish.

my cut is super nice, it smells like lime/lemon soda with that musky awesome weed funk heavy in the background. Makes greasy bho every time. Not the best yielder anymore, but it is like 10 yrs old. Best quality buds in the garden consistently.

Flo was never too potent but with some moab/ mapmkp she yielded like a superstar.

My grand daddy experience is specifically grand daddy x grape ape and was super grapes with that stacked node structure gdp is famous for. Taste with the gdga was more grape juice than the sweet hashish flavor of the flo.

As for the Blackberry Kush Homebrew420, really I'm quite surprised you'd put it into the same category.
Do you think this is the tried and true orgnkid blackberry cut??
IMG_0053.JPG

To me her frost factor is glands on glands straight dripping, depth of flavor is limitless depending on style of growing, and her flavor profile actually does carry over into the concentrates made from her.

The only semblance I see between BBK, Flo, and GDP besides pretty colors and potentially "fruity" scent, is overall lack of medical potency. After time even the super dank BBK succumbs to strain stagnation.

Sorry this doesn't help narrow down the flo bberry phenos but hopefully it's insight enough into the genetic variables within each strains makeup.

NEBU(rip)? really?
Flower structure on the BBK is completely different than the others I listed, GDP, and Flo. Remarking on aroma only really. THe GDP was NEVER dense for me, which makes me question if I ever really had it. THough the pics look so similar. I have grown out 3 seperate cuts of Flo none of which I would describe as Spicey, exotic perry-like fruity yes, MAYBE a touch of spicy on the bacj end. And the BBK is def legit that we have. Going to take a number of cuts off her on Sat....

Peace
And Merry fuckin Xmas everyone!!!

FLO always smells the same. I've bought it from multiple dispensaries, grown two different cuts of it. It doesn't always look the same, but the shit always smells like...well, it smells like FLO. Very distinct smell.
