Alright folks I would like to put forth this thread for all things related to DJ Short's varieties. I would like your input into his creations that exhibit colors. We have a few diferent varieties of Flo and a Blueberry, I will get a pic up soon. I am interested in the differences between cuts, if there is one.
Also as a side bar who thinks Blackberry Kush, gdp, and flo are nearly the same aroma/flavor profile?

Peace

Assuming that u refer to grandaddy purps as the gdp as well... I think those three are totally different. I straight up dislike flo, havent seen a nug of it in the last 4 year that I wanted to burn. the Blackberry I havent seen often, but had a deep fruity smell and taste, not grape tho. The GDP, like the J I rolled up last night, has a strong purple fruit/candy grape smell/taste to it, great flav.

Go get some FLO from Kind Love in Denver, it's fucking gorgeous. I have no idea if it's DJ's FLO or some other FLO, but really it is beautiful in smell, appearance, and taste.

I tried getting a cut of it but the guy working there said they wont even give cuts of the FLO to the employees. Which is funny because they sell clones all the time, they just wont let go of that FLO pheno they have.

flo is the only one i have. it was in the shop before i was so im not sure of its origin. it gets fairly silver/lavender, but not as colorful as some ive seen friends grow. finishes in the 60 day range.

THe Flo and Blackberry are very similar, as is the Gdp, and yes @DukeOG Granddaddy purps, not saying its the same I simply believe them all to be related in some fashion. Flo breeds well and I have seen her impart a great deal of flavor and aroma to her offspring. Along sometimes with the lower potency

ANybody seen Bluemoonshine? Blue Velvet? I heard the Blue Moonshine was still in Ned floating around, anybody else hear that?

@UncleBuck what other than the lack of potency di you not care for the Flo. I personally have not come across a flo i would describe as spicy, though I have heard the description before from other growers. Though not with the ones I have run. She is a burning incense for us, with the flavor and aroma so unique, almost of nag champa.

NO blue velvet? Bluemoonshine?

the yield was OK but the bud structure was for shit. i actually never got to sample it, had half a dozen other strains going last cycle when i grew it. it got outperformed by every single other strain i grew.

Flo is not going to compete with taller, more aggressive strains. She's compact and squat.
She's not the most potent but the flavor is why I keep her around.
She will give you a ravenous case of the munchies.

Yield was just ok? Mine grows colas the size of footballs. Mines more lavender/silver than straight up purple too. I think my best example is probably day 45 or so, prob 10 days to two more weeks till color really comes out.

my two were next to glass slipper, probably got it from the same dispensary as the FLO. glass slipper gave me almost 8 oz off two plants, FLO was closer to 6 off two plants. still a decent producer, good colors/bag appeal. people say it has good aroma and taste (i have no sense of smell and never sampled it) but my main issue was with bud structure. too leafy, hard to trim.

nothing wrong with it, just not my favorite thing to grow.

Deff leafy. Prob why I never take any photos of it. Will try to get some as the next room finishes up.
