DIY with Quantum Boards

Hey guys, I cant decide if she looks a little light stressed or not, leaves are pointing up a tad.

Im running 2 QB 304s , currently at 190w, 20" above canopy.

I was going to try to creep it up into the 200s but I'm wondering if I should stop at 190. Dont wanna scorch her.... but the leaves haven't started tacoing at all, so I can't decide if it's light stress or if she wants more light.

What have you guys maxed out at in flower??

They are happy ...me thinks you are in the zone ...
You will be surprised how well they do without going " max ".
That horizontal leaf plane is a dead giveaway that the plants are utilizing all that quantum goodness. QBs usually don't cause heat stress , but Light stress ( bleaching , etc )

I would drop height down slightly instead of powering up - say 15" - 18"

Height is one of the hardest things I've wrestled with.

Can't decide between a little bit higher more power and more light spread or closer to plants.

none right now just 288s
Just thought some were going to be available again on the 20th. It was the 14th before so another pushback I guess.

I just jumped the gun buying a driver for 120’s I could do it with 288’s but just more money I don’t want to spend.

Do you have 10 inches or 3 feet of plant under the tippittytop??

That's going to be a big factor isn't it?

He kinda did answer
It doesn't matter if I have 1m plant or 40cm plant. I am asking how much down under you get A+ buds.
1m plant can get let's say 30cm A+ buds, lower will be popcorn.
40cm scrogged plant get 30cm A+ buds with only 10cm popcorn.

that is going to vary with environment AND plant training. Without training, it will depend, tent or open room? How much light is being provided? I've had 60cm plants with no popcorn" buds.

And bud is bud, this whole thing over so called popcorn buds no more than a fart in the winds. Them little buds will get you just as high as the top cola. Unless your using your trim, your wasting good bud if you don't use them. And no, I don't trim my popcorn buds, grind em and vape em!

12-18 inches from top colas using 260w kits gets me about 2-2.5 ft of solid hard nugs. But if i was over crowding my space or training my plants differently then it would be different.

Running boards 10-15 cm is different, since you would have to run them soft to get so close and have more boards to compensate for running soft to acheive the same light levels.

I have never understood this fixation with bud size. Especially when the HID guys (think Yodaweed) get started on how LED is inferior if the buds aren't as big, despite a higher yield (and despite the fact that plenty of LED grower DO get buds just as big). Of course what I'm saying applies less to commercial growers because they have to consider bag appeal.

Tent, 25-35 W per SQF. Standard I would say.
I doubt they penetrate 60cm below and gives the same density as top of the cola. Because I have CXB 3590 and some Citizen and below 30cm I get popcorn. I like tops more because they ripe faster than lowers and I love to see my buds big and thick. Fluffy sh*t gets into butter. It's preference I guess.

Do you have some pictures? I would love to see those " hard nugs from 2ft colas".

Well colas are not 2ft, I would say biggest colas are about a foot, i super crop every branch. Lower down the buds are still rock solid if i have done my job right. Plants are roughly 3-3.5ft, with a foot of nothing and 2-2.5 ft of flowering sites.
I dont keep photos for more than the time it takes to upload them. Dont upload many either but there are a few floating around on this thread and other quantum board threads. Right now im preparing to move house so my perpetual has come to an end. Nothing to see here. :bigjoint:

You didn't answer to my question. Training doesn't matter in my question, cola is cola, on natural plant or on scrogged plant
why dont you look at some journals instead of being so needy. plant training does make a fucking difference, spesh with a scrog and when grower decides on flip...defoliation also really helps the lowers

you get more light for less dollar and better spread with QB than hps...and probs cobs? pretty sure you can work it out from there...

Heres a cola for ya. x
