DIY with Quantum Boards

I don't think people are getting how effecient these things are.

1 24" tall plant in a 3'x3' tent made this and it was finished at 200w under 4 qb's, it saw 300w for about a week and got absolutely nuked.

Those "small" jars in the middle are half gallons.

This pheno was not a winner so it's not very resinous but my OG that is getting ready to finish in a couple weeks is beyond frosty and rock hard. If you are having issues under these lights it's probably becuase they are too intense and need to be turned down or moved farther away.

Here is my new fixture. Debating adding a inline switch. If I had it to do over I would have bought the "b" driver so it would be easier to adjust the intensity, nice to have a knob rather than messing with a screw driver. I may make a cover for the driver that has an toggle switch, a fuse, and the dimmer mounted to it, maybe an other outlet to daisy chain.

Very nice work .... What kind of finish is that ?
I like those " flared " type edges which COULD be "reflectorized" .... Hmmmmm

Was there just a QB drop? Shit I need more. Any 2700k boards? I just wired up a slate 5 setup I got back in June. Never ran a led setup before & my driver's are not in the room but these generate almost no heat with a slate 5.

You want to Grow 8 to 12 plants per each HLG 550? You where averaging 784 a light and you want to push to almost 900? What are you getting GPW with your set up now or whenever you had it set up? if you use HLG 550's I think you would do better with a light rail for them lights it will cover more Sq footage.

Do your driver's get really hot too? Mine are so hot I'm considering some kind of insulation for them. I would put a cooling fan on em if it extends the lifespan but there not in my room, im worried about a fire. Also, the wires were tinned on the driver but I had to shorten them for the rohs connector and did not put more solder on. Maybe that was a mistake cuse that stranded wire broke easy
I use clip fans for both my HLG 240h-c1050a my drivers are between the heat sinks and stay cool to the touch and never will get that hot. Put a little fan on them it will cool them down some.

Man those boards and components are flying off the shelves ...... Lol

Everybody is like ... Fuck the iPhone Gimme Quantum!

Anyways .... I thought I would share what's new in my Quantum Corner ....
Started some new girls including :

Blue Dream Auto
(3) Godfather OG
Candy Dream
And that one little plant that had the tip DIE off ( now throwing new growth )
GSG ... Glad I didn't pull it .. She is a pretty little shit. Lol

Anyways ..... Since I am germing Blue Dream I decided to make some fem pollen for her before she gets to flowering ( 40 odd days from now ) ....

I am using the KOMAKUSH to spray some TIRESIAS MIST on 2 lower sucker branches.
I marked them with string and pulled plant from fan to " treat ". I cut the bottom of a styrofoam cup to act as a " collar " to direct spray on target ( like a dog cone from the vet ). It's works well and like doing this . After that I keep plant from fans for about 15-30 minutes to allow penetration and stop transfer to other leaves. Sometimes I use very small ziplock bags sprayed with mist then ZIP closed lightly over branch end - even when going dark . BEER makes me experiment ...... Lol.

Here is the pics :

Okay I am convinced that my QB288 dual light and QB304 lights were making larfy buds due to genetics, I cut a Super Skunk last night and was real impressed at how solid the buds are. Sorry if anyone thought I was blaming the lights, I should never change my lights, Nutes or genetics at the same time and expect to be able decipher the results.

Just ordered 4 QB 120's and an HLG-240H-C2100A to start switching over my veg room, I love these lights!!!!

Also wanted to mention to everyone that my doctor told me that my cancer has stopped spreading and they are looking at the tumors on the 26th to see if they are actually shrinking!
I hope everything g works out for you. I hate cancer more then I care to say. Wish you the best man.
Yeah, I had the same prob. Switched everything @ once n couldn't figure out where I went wrong. To many possibilities. Went nuts & w/o even being able to help it, I subconsciously & alloud, put blame on my LEDs. Now I've got yet even more new strains to replace the ones I wasn't satisfied w/ (seeking winners) am dialing down on the new nutes & Kiss'ng as much as possible, reconfigured the whole room, installed my mini-split, & even went as far as putting 2000w of HPS in there to compare for piece of mind.
I was warned about making to many changes & was also told I was lucky to have such a good system before. That if it wasn't broke I shouldn't fix it. Boy, was that guys advice as right as it gets. To much at stake.

Does any of you run a remote driver setup? I was thinking about getting my drivers out of the tent, and run some 12 or 14g stranded wires (between 4-12 feet) from the DC side of the drivers to wagos and from there 18g solid to the QBs. Probably using a IEC connector with switch to be able to turn lights off when opening the tent, or an aviation plug. What do you think?

It would be interesing to see some driver panels. It seems most pictures and posts in threads do not deal with this, but mostly with the LEDs or lamp fixtures.
