i was thinking the great white shark.. hear its nice and fruity. also, i had a thought, you're using 250W CFL and 4 plants.. i'm using 125W CFL and 2 plants.. we'll have to compare dry weights in the end, see if they are close (mine being half yours.. duh). interested in a little healthy competition?

hurry up with the cam, need to see some sprouts!!

hmm, your saying that your planning on growing 2 plants with 125w.. how big do you plan on getting these by harvest. im using around 200w of cfls on 6 plants (8 26w cfls spread out) but i dont plan on seeing anything taller then 1.5-2 feet by the end. do you guys think i have enough light?

i dont mean to butt in shack but trog you should have enough light. i would say LST and keep lights close cfls dont cover tall vertical plants well but if you were to LST and create a nice even canopied bush i say your cfls would do nicely. just from what ive seen and heard. what do you think shack....

I'm wanting to go by the methods in Buds For Less by SeeMoreBuds
Planning to veg for two weeks or so and when they are still short and bushy flower. I'm considering LST but my mind still isn't made up.

Yeah 2 plants with CFL like i said above, only vegging for like 2 weeks or so, and flowering while they are about 1 - 1.5 feet tall. that sounds like a lot of plant you have there, you should be alright though.. that does sound like a lot of plant though.. maybe add in a couple more CFL maybe up a few of your bulbs to 42W

oh and i mentioned earlier i'm having temp issues, i checked it again tonight and i'm at 84 degrees. anybody have any thoughts to bring the temps down?

i lst'd this grow a bit, but the 2 i lstd turned out to be males, but lst + fimming gave them a huge canopy before i chopped em, as for the rest of the plants none of them have any training except i topped one and my mutated plant has like 3 main colas some how and random other stems poppin out everywhere, all of them nice n bushy, all of them are between 6-12 inches n there about 1 month into flowering (although i think some werent mature enough and some stunted), so i expect a 2 ft max size either way. my next grow will include alot of lst and topping or fimming

alright shack lets go balls out on our grows we do whatever it takes to get the most bud possibly. sounds good? any method is free game. as for your heat 84 aint to bad im hovering around 79-80. just do the hand test once your plants are in or add another fan? trog you may have some tall plants on your hands as shack said you might have to start looking into more light.

i have enough stuff on hand to add another 2 26 watters im just concerned about heat, the temps stable atm but i lost my thermometer after i checked my current conditions temp sitting at 79-80, i already had earlier problems that i finally stablized (sound + heat) since my grow is stealth, im afraid adding more lights will make it too hot, and ide have to move the plants down again cuz i have them set up avoiding touching the lights but just inches away

hey shack looked back and saw the tent looks great . how many cfm is the computer fan u have?
each one is about 65 CFM (according to the packaging) now whether they are actually hitting 65, remains to be known. don't know how to figure efficiency and given the way they are wired, yadda yadda... but yes the packaging says 65 CFM.
they are 4" 120VAC fans from RadioShack

So I left the tent operating today for a little over 12 hours.. tonight when i shut her down, 89 degrees. I've decided this is too hot, given enough time she could easily hit that 94 mark like my last grow (it was in the closet without a tent). The solution?? Picking up some dryer duct, which just so happens to be?? FOUR INCHES IN DIAMETER! Which is identical to the fans diameter! The plan is to route it up the door frame (the fan is just about even with edge of the door) run along the top edge of the door and aim it out, right about in the center of the doorframe. Its a two panel slide out closet door, so slightly cracking the door creates a nice gap in the middle. So... route the ductwork and crack the door BAM! hot air from inside the tent is now pushed out of the closet. Should work right? Looking for anybody's opinion. Thanks!

I did as I said I would, picked up the 4" diameter dryer duct, about 8' of it to be exact. After trimming to fit, razor blade to cut the foil/aluminum and wire cutters for the metal wire (if you know dryer duct, you get it). Attached it to the fan using black duct tape (more than a clever name) got a nice seal there, snaked it up the frame and over to the door.

Looks like an empty closet with a door cracked, right?

WRONG!!

A little closer..

The tiny black spot you see at the top of the outlet is a square of the black duct tape. I stuck it there to reinforce the thin aluminum so i could run a screw straight thru to hang there. Also the bends are achieved just using some self-adhesive Velcro to hold it in place. Also finally sealed the bottom edge of the door with velcro.

Now a slight issue, the intake is blowing harder than the exhaust, she's ballooning a bit. So far doesn't seem like an issue. I'll report back later to let you know how temps are doing. All for now.

I'm not Dub, I'm GangaGreg420, or just Greg ... Dub passed back in April. It is a long story but basically we were friends on OverGrow.com before the government smashed it. We remained friends and one day he called me to tell me he had Hep. C and was going to pass within the year. I was in a bad place where I was at so he offered to fly my across the country so I could grow for him. The only stipulations were that I had to try aeroponics for his sake and organics for the other patients sakes. Dub was growing for 6 other terminally ill people, I now grow for them. Dub taught me a lot but I'm guessing he forgot more things about growing than I have learned yet. Dub did not want his dying friends to be getting their medication from the street pharmacist because of all the usual reasons. Varying quality and expensive price along with legal reprocussions. I provide their medication for free, most of them can barely afford their treatment. Dub was a good man, he has opened my eyes and I will never grow commercial pot again for money. Let's just say that it took me losing one of my closest friends to chase away my green eyed monster. I will not sell anything to a dying person and I do not sell to dealers for $$ on the side, no matter how hard up for money I am. So basically that is the short version of the story.

RIP Dub

Glad to see more people helping those that need. You have my utmost respect Greg. You seem like a good person, and only if we had more people like you in this world. I thank you, seriously thank you for the work you do. Should be proud. :peace:

glad to have you here! thanks for checking things out.
a few kinks to work out here and there. the grow isn't starting till november, so plenty of time to work everything out.

right now its all about getting those temps just right. she's cruising at 84. jumped to like 94 last night. now that i have the hot air moving in a focused direction out of the closet via a cracked door/dryer duct, the temp is stable. i think that is the most i can. also, once a plant is in there, and soil, i think it will have natural temp stabilization. so! all i'm doing right now is setting up as ideal conditions as possible once the two lovely ladies are put in the tent.

i have some left over duct i'm wondering if dropping in a duct hose, basically hang one down from the exhaust fan directly over the lamp hood would better focus that suction action.. hmmm.. we'll see how it goes presently and modify later. all for now!

one more little bitch rant about temps in this thing. i set it up on a timer, to run like it would be with plants (18/6: 2AM - 10PM) 84 degrees... i think my temp gauge is a piece of shit. its cold weather now, and the house is chilling around 68 and the tent feels at best a few degrees warmer. picking up a new thermometer, and will probably be SHOCKED at what temps it reads.
