DIY Grow Tent

...i missed a shit load of your posts i just realized haha..

i like what you had to say about my whiteboard "blueprint".. you mentioned CO2, i was merely referring to the natural CO2 built up in the tent by the plants overnight while the lights were off. leaving the fans off for a bit at lights on was just to give THAT CO2 a chance to do something good before the fans blew it out of there. although now that i'm thinking, i might do some DIY CO2 with yeast and some 1L bottles half full of water.. maybe.. maybe not.. don't even have a seed cracked. got time to decide.

Got the panda film today and wrapped her up.. Still have a few places to seal, around the intake fan, and I need to wrap the bottom still, but once i got the zippers on I couldn't stand it, i had to put her in the closet and she how she fit!

Almost forgot.. when i was at the grow shop they had the 125W CFL 6500k veg bulb i had been wanting, for 15 bucks!!! it's used, but claimed only used for 2 months, its the light in use in the photos. all that is left, is soil and pots!

thanks for checking it out, glad you approve. i think it will do well for two little plants. plan to LST both once i get started.
picked them up at the grow shop when i got the panda film. pretty sure you can get them at just about any hardware store as well. order them online easily too.

Brite Ideas Hydro is the local hydro shop i go to. they also do mail order.

So i just felt like sharing, the tent is running optimum! Need to get a grow started soon. The tent runs temps right at 78 degrees!

The other night, i accidentally set a box on top of the exhaust fan, and POOF! the tent started ballooning out. I uncovered the exhaust and SHWWEEW! shrunk back to size immediately. Point of the story, I think i succeeded at designing and building a completely sealed growing environment. VERY excited to start growing!

I'm considering growing 2 plants.. For sure the Lemon Skunk and the second is up in the air.. Church/Great White Shark is the other... my mind still isn't made up.
i will gladly be influenced by any opinions anyone has on the above listed seeds.. what do you think RIU?

Someone asked earlier today for "completed project" pictures... Well here they are, from a pretty decent vantage point. As you can see, she fits in the closet like a glove! Also, I feel I should point out the light in the room was on for both pictures, the light in the hood is just that bright! hehe





Here is why I'm waiting to start the grow/testing the tent...



This is about the average temp, about 30 minutes ago she was at 84!! I haven't yet added a circulation fan, this should drop the temp a couple degrees, I'm hoping!!




That's my little air purifier, has a carbon filter and UV bulb, should keep the air in there nice and fresh, and mostly sterile. Originally had it on the floor/bottom shelf, I moved it to the shelf over the hood in hopes it will help pull hot air up, the intake for the unit is in the base. The goal is I won't have to add a filter to the exhaust, since the air in the tent is filtered before exhaustion?

That's all for now I suppose.. Anybody have any thoughts on the strains I posted earlier? Grown them before?
