DIY easy SCROG

Hey guys I decided to implement a screen into my garden and while I was building it figured I'd take some pictures and show you how I built mine at home for 30 bucks!! My scale model is 36x24

The materials you're gonna need are

1 Power Drill

1 pack of 3/4" screws

2 pieces of 2 inch PVC pipe cut to 36 inches each

6 pieces of 2 inch PVC pipe cut to 24 inches each

1 Pack of Nylon string (6 ft)

4 Elbow connectors that connect into a T

All this stuff cost me about 40 bucks with the PVC cutter included so if you cut your own it's about 30 bucks!

Now that you have your materials let's connect all of the pieces together to make a nice 36x24 frame for our screen. using two 36 inch pieces for the width, two 24 inch pieces for the length, and four 24 inch pieces for our legs.

once that is nice and put together the next step is to draw out where you want to tie your strings down to. I used 3 inches apart for mine. use a sharpie to mark where to drill!

drill screws into these holes giving you an anchor to tie the string to

The next step is to repeat on all 4 sides until you have an even amount of screws on each side! Then begin to make your knots. Make sure they are tied TIGHT around these screws you don't want any room for the plants to wiggle and bend themselves back up!

I tie knots around my screws and then screw the string in even more.

When your all done with one direction it should look similar to this. ( I tied mine so tight it pulled on the pipes, someone who has better skills would do a better job)

Begin pulling the string the opposite way and weaving over and under each loop until you have a nice square pattern like so. (once again making sure it's very tight) and repeat

When you're all done you should have something like this! A nice cheap effective screen for your scrog! Took about 30 minutes total to make

place over your plants and enjoy!!

Great pics, I did the same, however I put a bar in the middle of mine too, because the plants like to push on it and it seemed to offer
more stability. you may not need it, my plants were bitches man.. JK.
Good work there though!

Nice scrogs guys, Patchkid nice instructional, especially for a noob or the unhandy.

IndicaAngel I like the way you laced your screen saving time from having to taught and tie each string.

Now post some pictures of those screens filled up guys!

Funny, you used the exact same string and color that I've run for years.

I added a support to the middle of mine as well. Get a bunch under there and the canopy starts to bow in the middle and lifts the entire setup off the floor.

Im gonna have to go in there and change it cause my girl is starting to get thicker branches and I can see how it would totally lift the screen up

thank you and, this is a nice write up, I'm glad someone posted it, easier than trying to figure it out
or googling other vids like I did.
I just added a 2nd part to my screen, since I'm running 4 in 15 gallon pots here soon. Not meaning
to hijack the thread but since someone asked for pics, here is a pic of my finishing up veg, bbk and bc dont stretch much, cc-22 I haven't ran her b4 so if she stretches I'm leaving a bit of room.
If everything goes right, I'll string that last spot and add my cookie clone there.

Also I laced them because if one gets a tiny bit loose I can kinda sorta push and pull the others and take up the slack and everyone stays nice and tight,

These girls have about 2 weeks veg left and then full 12/12. every morning it's move you here, slide you there.. tuck here.
They grow so fast, luckily I enjoy it,I haven't trimmed under the screen yet, I'm taking a few clones and will clean out
the undercarriage area before i flip them so they have time to adjust and be ready to gimmie purty flowers.

Awesome, I'm going to be building one of these soon so the tips will really come in handy! I will be putting mine over a flood table which makes me think.. I may add wheels so I can just roll it over the flood table once the ladies are ready for it. The added weight may help keep it on the floor as well if the girls get too big. Wonder if it would even be worth it though with how easy it looks to move without wheels.. Anyways, thanks for the write up!

this is what I made I just used plastic like string and made a wooden frame I don't plan on using the fence stuff because the guy who gave it to me thinks I owe him a joint for fence that he claims was 6 bucks when I have smoked him up several times since I got it and the ahole still thinks I owe him a joint . so here it is I added more squares though
