You can't have two much spray, unless its blowing your plumbing apart. However, I have never seen a pump that strong. The pvc pipe in the picture is NOT glued. It comes apart for easy cleaning and it has never fallen apart. I would always opt for the bigger pump.

How'd you cut the holes? When I do it I tend to have a very hard time getting a clean cut. It's always rough and either to tight or loose for the neoprene holders.

Side note the smaller the cloner and the bigger the pump the warmer the water which isn't good. I've had problems in my 5 gallons bc of heat the pump gives off into the water

I have problems to with heat so I run my cloner wit ha fix cycle timer that's 1/4. One minute on and 4 minutes off with frozen bottles. This is I think 15 days in the cloner.

Regular drill wit a door nob cutter. Those holes are a little they are not as smooth as the picture looks, The black foam hides the sins:)

Steezy Wonder up there said" he could buy a cloner for $80" That's the way I would go. When these were built, cloners were $300+ If I did not have these, I would buy one.

I like that idea. I thought about it but wasn't sure exactly if it would for sure work.
