DIY 20 site PVC CFL Grow

4x 1 meter long 150mm PVC conduit
20x 3 inch net pots
40x spray heads

I have 5 seedlings, the other 15 are cuttings from one mother plant

i am running the sprayers for 15 minutes every 3 hours. the roots seem to still be a bit wet after the 3 hour period so i am keeping an eye on this to determine a good watering schedule. might keep it as it is for now but getting the watering time down to one minute on would be ideal.

i have never run this system so I have no idea about nutrients. the seedlings are a week or two old, the cuttings have rooted well on plain water and after 2 days in this system on plain water I have added nutrients to 0.4EC so hopefully the plants will react well to this low dose

i am planning to veg for about a month and then switch to flowering, it will be my first grow in this system so hoping for approx 3 month harvest

Roots seem to be developing ok.

spraying time is now 15 mins on and 15 mins off during the light hours,
and 15 mins each hour during dark

nutrients still at 0.4EC. any more will burn the tips , as I think it started to when i forgot to top up res and nutrients crept up a little bit . i'm new to growing and still trying to work out the correct plant nutrient requirements..

please comment your tips / ideas if you fell they could be beneficial ;)

Very cool setup, I like it a lot. I don't run enough MJ plants to use something like that for herb but plan on building something similar soon for peppers and lettuce.

Good job, very slick.

yes everything will be t5 this round, i have spent a lot of $$ on equipment, so hoping to get some bud with what I have invested so far and then expand from there

Thanks! I like the minimalistic approach. The shelving is a generic chinese brand. This system is just a prototype, next round I will at least double in size. I am already starting to think that sprayers pointing down from between the net pots will be a better approach for watering. Didn't want to bother will the full HP aeroponic set up so I might try to find a medium pressure pump for my next system.

I liked the idea of the feed conduits inside the main conduit as it lowers the material count and creates for a neater look, I have seen the feeder conduits on the bottom of the conduit spraying directly up with ez-clone heads but I can only imagine they would quickly be covered with roots and become useless.

Thought about the same setup but using n.f.t. instead of spraying. Nice job looks good hopefully the roots dont plug it up during flowering.

The nutrients at 0.4EC were a bit strong growth slowed down and I saw a bit of the claw going on so for the past 4 days I have been feeding with fresh water and I think the plants seem to be taking off again. The Roots are getting huge and it's only been 2 weeks.. I am thinking its time to start flowering soon.. any suggestions? Two smaller clones look like they have already started to flower and have not developed much root mass, might leave them anyway and see what happens.

The seedlings I am pretty sure were starting to show signs of deficiency, so I had to separate them from the clones. I really wanted to try some spinners pointing down from between the net pots and this gave me the opportunity. This is definitely a better way to go in terms of evenly watering the plants.

Yeah when you think about it this system is pretty much NFT with the addition of sprayers/spinners, which are good when the plant is just starting out!
