How long do you veg them for?
i had in cloner till the roots were about 18" long and this particular ones i put straight into 12/12 but for anything else I'm a bit weird i veg my seedlings for 12-16 weeks getting that girl as big as i can before I scrog it.. this second grow i got going on is experiments on different methods and different lightings.. my third grow will def be the shit.. I'm looking at 3/4 pound at 230 watts.. And yes I'm gonna get it.. I'm good like that.LOL I'm gonna try

why no poly film on sides even if its just a false wall of panda film you will reflect alot of lost light.
I switched from the Black stars to these 8 watt prototypes, blackstars footprint was a little smaller, but I have a second aeroflow that I will run next to this one to catch all the light.
I agree with you though it's something I will do in the future.

i suppose its ok but still overpriced.. i paid 75.00 for similar set up but botanicare and its a 54 inch table. and 45 gal res. but i like used plastic shit all i gotta do is clean it

Something like this guys? How would temps be with this? My tent temp is 84
more like this www.oxygenpotsystems.com you will not be disappointed it offers more than any other company all the rest is complete crap you can build at home.. this is the real deal

It says 235 +\- 5w on the back of it. I'm using these as supplemental lighting, i know what my hps is capable of.
i simply like the low wattage during summer months plus allows me to have several places to grow more shit and not have a 500.00 MONTH electric bill thanks Communist ed

Called up the guys at oxygen pots and there building a complete custom set for me..... !!
James over there told me in november a newly designed bucket will be coming out.... it will completely drain the entire bucket not leaving anything in there now its like a teaspoon of water in bottom of bucket per feed cycle but i also usually run 4" airstone on bottom just for shits and giggles.. oh if buying air pump don't mess around buy the air force 40 or 60 you can run anything you want off that.. i ran mine to 6 4" airstones 10 other cylinder airstones and one matala 9" air diffuser in my res and still had plenty of oomph left in it...

Why are people thinking I am on a budget.... Money is really no problem... If I could fit a recirc dwc in a 3x3x5 tent I would. But money is no problem...
Hey just wanted to chime in being a newb who just jumped in and did the diy thing. If you want a prebuilt system go for it. Just plug it in and start growing. And yes a ph pen and ec meter are a must in hydro IMO for a newb. Fuck the strips lol. Could be my 55 year old eye's but they suck lol. Lots easier to read a display. As for letting the plants tell you whats wrong hahaha. Thats all good for an experience grower and even then it would be tough in hydro to keep PH in check. Just look at all the pics of plant issues that ph could cause due to lockout. Also well water does change (well mine does) and it just takes the guess work out of the equation. Nutes are a whole other thing lol. I cant comment on any of the name brands as I get mine right from a nute factory that hasn't stuck one of 10 different labels on it yet. Temps are an issue for me but I just shut the thing down in summer and throw out a few plants to get me through. I get 3 or four runs in the rest of the year when temps are cooler. Water bottles work but they are a pain. I just started using a zyme product and ran rez low 70's the last run and no issues. Sterile rez would be a good choice as well I think for a newb like me. Have heard some good things re teas, perhaps someday! Good luck with your choice! I would never go back to indoor soil grows, hydro is, i found easier to control.

www.beneficialbiologics.com NO LOCK OUT NO NUTE BURN sea green hydro but i get it.... OH a simple block of ice in a 55 gal res works wonders... not a bag of ice but solid block.... and yes it will bring ppm down about 20-50. Again ppm with running any organics in your hydro will not be accurate and its a waste of time having one. like i stated my girls were at 3000 ppm at one time due to the beneficial probiotics i use..so in that case a ppm meter can be thrown out.. and your eyes can tell you all...IMG_4846.JPG I'm not experienced at all my friend but did spend one month reading everything i could get my hands on before i started.. thats most problems no one reads they want immediate gratification.. Grower since January bonsai baby

Your right organics and a ec meter is a waste. But as a newb doing hydro it would be my advice to run a sterile rez. That could be very bad advice as I have not really researched teas at all. I have a bit more experience with soil though, first grow ever was 39 years ago (god I'm old lol). I over the years I have read countless books, articles, etc. yes it helps grasp the fundamentals of growing but experience is king. Two runs is hardly enough time to understand what plants need imo. Also not being rude but your grows seem to be a bit smallish, but nice and healthy, perhaps some tweaking is in order to maximize your system. I struggle with identifying problems and always will I fear. Keeping track of ph and nute levels is, again imo, the best and I dare say, the only way to understand the plants needs in a hydro set up for newbs. But to OP, just get her going. Follow the basics and tweak things to suit your needs, keep things on the weak end of the scale re nutes, monitor the Ph, change the res as needed (monitoring water will help), and keep the res cool. You'll be good! Also pick a proven, easy to grow, potent strain (dont want to grow shit lol), may I suggest White Russian or some other long running, stable strain. Again good luck with your setup and keep us updated.

as far as growing with micro's in hydro my 2¢ is not to bother. if you run a sterile rez then root issues are non existant. i have heard great things about dutch master's "Zone" and have started using it recently. it basically kills everything in your rez so you cant run it with micro's but hell you dont need them and i personally feel a safer way is sterile.
