dissolving THC in Alcohol

a friend gave me a load of low quality hash, which strangely enough works way better in food (such as cakes, cannamilk, omelets) than when smoked. so I decided to dissolve a load of this stuff in alcohol (90% rum, drinkable), so I can always add a bit to my glass of cola...or water, or whatever I want. but, can anybody give me an indication of how long I should soak the hash in the alcohol? depending on how much thc the hash contains that is (an amount of which I am not sure).

I don't plan on evaporating the alcohol, but I want to be able to add it to other drinks.
and for the people who want to know which rum I'm using: "Marienburg rum." google it, it's a Surinamese rum (suriname being the country in South-America in which I live)

2tbsp can hold about half a gram(quite a bit, but a good single dose)
Probly should have said a single dose for me...

Warm up the alcohol and the hash will more readily dissolve. After filtration, you will need to titrate to determine dosage.

We consider 100mg of Absolute one dose, so you might weigh the starting material, and the alcohol carefully.

Also weigh the filter and after filtration, let the alcohol dry and reweigh to determine how much oil was left in the alcohol.
