Discolored spots turn gold, then get crunchy

Here's a problem that started almost a week ago and I can't accurately diagnose it with confidence.

The plant that is suffering has two main colas that are both being affected. There is another plant in the DWC res that is not suffering any problems. There are 5 other plants, in 2 other res using the same soup recipe that are doing just fine.

strain is unknown
DWC using GH 3 part
Temps are 70-72f lights on, 60-65f lights off
<3 weeks since flowers appeared
400w HPS about 16" away
pH was ~6 (crappy test kit)

(the color in the pics is off due to the HPS)

The problem started with the cola in pic 1 where the leaves overlapped. I dismissed the problem as bleaching due to wetness from transpiration. The yellowing/gold color first appeared on the third leaf set down, then the second, and first. The discoloration was a bright gold (not yellow), then turned crunchy.

in pic 2, the plant's second cola, is starting to show the same signs but a little less drastically.

This plant is the runt of the litter, so no great loss if it doesn't prosper. However, if it is foreshadowing problems for the rest of the pack, I'd like to get it fixed.

Thoughts?

Are you misting with the lights on?
I have never misted a plant...ever...:-|

I too thought it was light bleaching from water, but maybe from transpiration where the leaves overlapped. I have since upgraded my oscillating fans to provide better air movement. The problem has continued, even on leaves where there is no overlapping or contact.

I have also repositioned my reflector. The shape of the reflector seems to concentrate light in two areas running parallel to the bulb. One of those areas was directly on the top in pic 1.

going thru your pictures i cross looked at another thread here and came up with this

Phosphorus (P) Mobile Element and Macro Element

got that from here

Thanks for that great link, looking at the pics, and the P idea.

I recently added a bit more juice to my soup, so we'll see what happens.

I just found this link, and I'm leaning a bit towards K deficiency. There were some white spots before this happened...

At any rate, maybe the nute bump will keep the problem from getting worse.

Thanks for the help guys! Any other ideas will certainly be appreciated.
