Disadvantages to flowering at 3 weeks

All depends on the size of the plant, node spacing, ect..
But really, if it's a healthy plant, then why not? I flowered out a WW plant that was about 6" tall with just a couple leaf sets. They were decently spaced, and time was of the essence, so i said fuck it, n flowered her out. Ended up being a lanky ass plant with 6 leaf sets n internodes when it grew out completely, but 5 of the 6 were at the very top, and they formed into a WW bud the size of a football, lol. No joke, it was the size of my head. But yeah, it all depends on the plant, n how it looks. If its REALLY small, you could end up with a plant that yields 1/4 oz IF that, which means you wasted 3 mos of your time to grow out $100 worth of dope (IF its dank).
So its all up to you man. If the plant is healthy looking, and growing on schedule, then chances are you have a good 6-7 nodes maybe more, and the plant is anywhere from 6-10" if its untopped. If this is the case, then by all means flower it out. It'll still grow for the first 3 wks of flowering, at an alarming rate actually, lol. But just remember that when you play with fire like this, it's the luck of the draw.
While you might still get a decent yield, it might only be a fraction of what it could have been if you would have just waited a couple more weeks. The longer your veg time is, the more yield you'll have. But then again, you could always get lucky and end up with a football nugget, lol. Just make sure your not in this much of a hurry to chop her down man. Let Her Finish, no matter what she turns out for you.
