Dimmable ballasts

Absolutely not good. Dimming brings uneven current to the bulb wasting even mire electricity, and dimming also completely fucks the spectrum up. Bulbs aren't supposed to be dimmed. Ever. Not saying you can't or that people don't do it it. But you shouldn't.

Im switching to digital dimmable ballasts, what's opinions on dimming the bulbs, Hps 1000wtt. Is dimming worth it ?
depends on your situation. i had a galaxy grow amp years ago, and dimmed a hortilux1k down to 400w & 600w, hell i even ran it at 1100w. still have the bulb, and it performed well for a neighbor after all that. can you do it, yes, was it really detrimental not as much as you'd think.

Ok, great feedback ,everybody, that helps a lot with my decision-making, Now I'm wondering why they even make them. What a waist of money.
