Tolerance to deems is like tolerance to other psychedelics but goes away faster. If you want to go back as soon as you return from hyperspace you're going to need to step the dose up significantly.
Wish I had advice Rory! Keep trying!

I feel confident mine was a pure batch..I'm not into weighing deems,I'd say about 75 milligrams is what i vaped...
as far as tolerance,I feel DMT is the cocaine of psychedelics ..the first one is always the best..I have found that if you wait an hour or two between bowls the second and third bowls are are better than if you just keep toking on them right after the first bowl..

makes sense mre.. the only psychedelic that i have really noticed a big growth in tolerance for is mdma, which i'm not sure would even be classed as one but more of empathogenic, and just the way mdma works it seems natural more time between doses would be better results..

I don't know why but the whiter more "pure" stuff is harder for me to breakthrough on, and less immersive than the yellow stuff...

You'd probably love jimjam. It's an extract made with something like toluene that just pulls everything out and it's like a red color. Qualitatively different experience but no clear psychoactive impurity.

I tried it for the first time last night. I didn't break through, but the threshold was very pleasant.

I was extremely nervous and had a hard time calming down even with meditation. I finally just said screw it all and took 3 long draws, holding them for 20 seconds each. Although I didn't break through I did get a very pleasant mushroom like body buzz, and found myself in a surreal kind of dreamy headspace for the next 20 minutes or so.

It was altogether a very pleasant experience, all that nervous apprehension was for nothing. I say try it, I know I will be again.

you didn't do it right. Pleasant is not a word I would use with dmt.

I think its all in what your looking for canndo. With the exception of one mushroom trip that had a very rocky start, I have found all the psychedelics I've used to be 'pleasant' dare i even say fun. I don't have the misconception that every trip is going to be a good one. Certainly not on higher doses where you can loose your grip on whats going on around you, but I go into a trip looking to be amazed and shown something wonderful. Thats made for a 'pleasant' time, every time so far. I know that when i finally breakthrough its going to be instantly overwhelming, but having made a conscious decision to completely give myself over to the substance should help make that a pleasant experience.

Pleasant implies mild.
some lovers like to spank and hit each other and they like it..its pleasant or mild to them, while some may feel its violent and intrusive..while i not into spanking,i am into hardcore tripping, and i find it tripping like that is pleasant and enjoyable..my idea of "mild" concerning psychedelics would most probably be considered scary at the minimum for most people, and downright violent and awful by others...dmt has no way of being ugly in my mind..i feel it will always be pleasant, unless taken with reckless abandon(like smoking after a surgery or something that outlandishly foolish)..throwing 100mg in a bowl hasnt brought me anything BUT joy..if "doing it right" means being terrified and not enjoying it,then ill keep doing it wrong...

I think one of the most important things to bring up with DMT is that it is pretty radical.

Radically dangerous that is...

It's an extract. All extracts should have a slight extra danger added to them compared to other non-extract drugs. DMT also has pretty radical effects on other neurotransmitters and hormones like melanin. Hormones are a precious thing to take care of. Especially the mysterious and spiritual hormone, melanin.

I'm not that experienced with DMT, and have yet to experience a full breakthrough... But from what very little I've experienced, I know that DMT is one of the most radical substances/experiences one can have. You have to give back exactly what you take. DMT is a monumental thing, and not very well understood. But then again, is there anything that's well understood?

Is ayahuasca safe? Is DMT safe? Is ayahuasca safer than DMT?

Who knows. Just something to keep in mind though...

Like with everything, you need to think for yourself.
