sorry to Hear that about Lumi. I enjoyed our conversations together. He was so nice and friendly.

He always seemed to be a good positive reinforcement which feels, sometimes , like a rare and precious thing to find when you chat with people on the forums ...
good talkin with you too.

I battled Powdery Mildew this past grow, and very very concerned about the ill effects of it on my buds. I bathed all my buds following the Jorge Cervantes cleansing method. Most concerning was residual PM was on my OG kush, its so damn sugary , too sugary looking???

..... Can someone tell me please, do you think these OG kush microscopic images show any signs of Powdery Mildew.
10x , 60x, 120 x.....(.slide covers have scratches)

SUPER LEMON HAZE,:weed: here below, pure yum yum
gotta say its my fav. I love sLh.its the only one that don't give me that firey brain feel.
Its got a lot of amber. :fire:
I had to pull most of the strains I recently grew earlier then I wanted due to pm outbreak. This SLH I took out pretty far. and I grew it before I molested with pm.

Beautiful microscopic images Figgy! Thanks for sharing. At what stage is this flower ? have you harvested or looking for some cloudier/amber trichomes before you chop? What type of device did you use to capture that clear close up image? i smoked some engineers dream on the DSt rooftop garden and it was real good.bongsmilie

This is a sample I cut at 50 days. I'm not chopping for another 1-2 weeks. Really just curiosity getting the better of me with a new strain and new scope. That was from a $35 scope from Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00AFH3IN4/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?qid=1426505539&sr=8-3&keywords=digital+microscope+camera&pi=AC_SX200_QL40

Im very impressed with your scope Figgy!
U got a good price and it blows my scopes max mag of 120x by 80x.
Your images are very clear and its is able to adjust very well to the 3 dimensions.
I have to smash my buds/ leaves in a slide to get a good image.

Being a hand held unit, do you find it hard to keep a steady hand trying to get a picture?
Please feel free to post as many images of your fascinating microscopic findings as you like here.
I cant wait to see some ambers shine in that Engineers Dream!:bigjoint:

This unit comes with a cheap stand that works. Zooming and focusing are slightly challenging , but one hand holding the scope in the stand and the other making adjustments seems to work. I tried to take pics holding the scope up to the buds in the tent, but that was useless. Looks like I'll have to pull the plants out the tent, place them next to a table or chair that the scope and stand will be on, and take pics that way without clipping buds. I'll toss some more pics up after work.

Lol, those circular dots you see in the heads are the LEDs from the scope. I was tripping when I first saw them on my screen the first time using the scope.

oh Yeah Figs, my camera has those lights as well that go on when I put it microscope mode. TRIPPY!

I also want to remind myself my next microscopic photo project . This will be to take a series of microscopic images of my vaped weed. from the first vape to the last and see the burning process and how many trichomes are really left after a series vapes.
I have a Volcano and a Pinnacle Pro to work with.

here are some Microscopic images of the KIEF. it is actually a soft brown color in real life. not sure why it looks so green. I really want to upgrade my microscope. Hopefully I get some money back from my tax return.
