my first grow and i have 8 plants under a 150 hps bulb alot of plants for such a little bulb. mayb i wont have as many once they start budding only keeping females any way the tallest 1 is 20 inches and the shortest 1 is 17inches the fan leaves on these were huge blocking alot of light to the bottom of the plant so i cut them off all the big ones r gone now and im wondering if i should have left it alone (second guessing everthing!!!!!)and there r plenty of little chutes to replace them im going to flip the switch in 3 weeks for a total of 11 weeks veg. will i still b able to flip that switch or did i set myself back a few weeks any help with this or exp. with it would b cool +rep for your thoughts

im pretty sure you should never cut any leafs.. unless they are over halfway dead.. or you are topping or lollypopping or doing some kind of technique.

yeah im thinkin i set them back a few weeks... i could bud them now but i will wait +rep 4 ya!!i did the same thing on my first grow and my plants growth slowed A LOT! if your gonna cut just trim the tips back, like just trim half the leaf off from the tip. that way you keep your fan leafs and still let light reach the bottom

Dude, those are going to be really big when you flower. Do you have any other light besides the 150W? If not, you are going to be lacking, especially if you have 4 or 5 of those. They seem to be growing more like a sativa does. If so, it could triple in size during flowering. Will you have the space?
yeah i got a whole lot of space im thinkin about a bigger light 400w or 600w hps i have 8 but i dont think they r all female
