Degenerative disc disease, nerve pinches, chronic pain, and muscle spasms.

Does any one know about degenerative disc disease, and medical marijuana?

Are there any medical marijuana users with degenerative disc disease, is it a qualifying medical condition?

We are not legal yet, though I hope so for all the other possible recipient. My doc said that my DDD is also called "old age". I quess every one gets it, me, just sooner then most. Legal pot for everyone, I hope.

i dont know anything about Degenerative disc disease, but the nerve pinches, chronic pain, and muscle spasms should definitely entitle you to a doctors recommendation for cannabis especially if you already have prescriptions for pills.

I think Indica and Mostly Indica Hybrids with their couchlock effect, are good muscle relaxers. I thought it was the harvest time of the cannabinoids; glands small and clear, upright and amber, or large and dark. That determine the type of cannabinoid; Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), cannabidiol (CBD) and cannabinol (CBN). Strain and harvest times combined I think.
Thank you for the good news, now my state just has to follow suit with the other Medical Marijuana states.:bigjoint:

i've watched my stepfather battle ddd for over 15yrs now.... we're not in a medical state, but considering the pain management, narcotics, muscle relaxers, and such; i would imagine that if we were in a "compassionate use" state, he would be eligible for his medical

Marijuana can be kinda funny about muscle spasms/tics for some folks. THC is actually a convulsive, but other canniaboids mixed with THC causes an anti-convulsant effect.

I use marijuana to keep mild seizures under control. When I first smoke I will get a mild case of the tics, but after 10 minutes I am good to go.

I know from personal experience that severe DDD qualifies you for Social Security Disability Payments. After they refuse you for a couple of years.

I had an episode with a nerve pinch, the meds the doc gave me only helped a little. I had no use of my left arm, deep pain of the back and shoulder, my forearm was numb, and my fingers were in a constant tingle, Anyway I saw a little pinoy girl who gave me thai massage that hurt like hell, but she moved my disc or something. I was only suffering from a back pain after that.
I hope SSI will cover mine if it continues to progress.

I also have DDD and I'm only 23. I had open heart surgery when i was 2 so I can't take med without getting sick or feeling way to whacked out. I get numbness in my back and a low back pain at the end of the day no matter if I work or not. It falls into the other and chronic back pain.

DDD is a qualifying disorder in Colorado. It may not be qualifying in some states (it appears Washington does not list chronic pain unless it "cannot be treated with other medicines." It doesn't make exceptions for the other medicines being addictive, nasty, harmful trash.)

Blueberry, Northern Lights, Super Silver Haze (my current garden) all work well for this. Tinctures and vaporizing work for immediate and temporary relief, but for long term relief, canna-oil and/or food from it helps most.

Diagnosed today with DDD, HORAay.. :/
Smoked cannabis for it but just aint enough, even the wax doesnt cut it for the nerve tingles. Off work for now, till mri or whatever the next stage is for me. Tramadol, ibu, and prednisone. 40 years of back breaking work finally caught up to me

I don't know where you go to the doctor in Washington I live in Tacoma and have and my recommendation threw multicare out of Auburn for the last five years and they prefer cannabis over the nasty crap meds and never had to try narcotics but I do take pain meds for my DDD it hurts so bad at times I get sick to my stomic THEY ARE GOOD ABOUT CANNABIS RECOMMENDATION IN WASH.

an invertion table and the msm glucosamine should help along with some good refer and maybe even a strong penetrating cannabis oil rubbed onto the affected area. cannabis has amazing healing properties and we are just finding out more ways it can be used everyday. good luck!
