Now Iam asking for ppl who have actually done it full on defoilation during flower
Not just a little but alot
Like this guy suggests
http://www.growweedeasy.com/marijuana-defoliation-tutorial
I'd like to hear first hand experiences and pics if possible of what happened and if u think it's a good idea

This my situation I have a 1.2 by 1.2 by 2 metre tent
Now I veged a bit to long and my tents crowded as fuck in about 1 week humidity is going to be a massive issue and Iam thinking of giving the defoilation a go

Now I know solar panel ect
Foods stored in leaves ect

But the plant will still have leaves just not as much

So plz tell me what u think based on personal experience
This my tent sorry bad hps pic

Hi . I do it all the time anything that Doesn't receive light I trim. as you can see my tent is crowded just like yours it creates a much better environment .
image.jpgimage.jpg I trim up to 2-3 weeks into flower and will trim a few leaves later on if bud sites are blocked .
Sorry for the photos but it's easier to explain . Good luck on your venture.
don't be scared about trimming .

Why take a leaf of which ain't blocking any bud sites ? Leafs are used to create energy I'm sure you know that . Hey strip your plant bro and send me a

I have seen, first hand the effects of "full on" defoliation by a close friend (I will not try it!).
The strain was LA Confidential.
He LST'ed it into 4 nice mains well spread.
He saw the grow weed easy thing and took to his plant like Edward Scissorhands on crack.
Myself and my partner saw the Frankenplant and asked if we could come back weekly to watch this experiment.
It never developed the proper size budding I see in my plants that just get simple "monster" fan leaf removal for light to reach the buds for proper ripening.
They were only at the most 50% the size of mine (and his was a clone of mine).

He did defoliate a "little" bit more then pictured in the GWE site pics, BUT not by much!!
I see the smaller bud size in those too!

What I think the writer of the piece is getting is a more even bud size through out the plant.
He is also getting a more dense nug and therefor his yields are larger by weight for that reason.

I feel he didn't know how to utilize proper lighting and trimming, along with topping to maximize his existing yields....
As for my friends yield? He actually got just about exactly the same as I did. He had many small nuggs of frosty goodness,,,,BUT, I got far better looking buds with greater bag appeal!

That's my 2cents on the subject after seeing this first hand....

Do not cut anything in bloom. You will always take away from your yeild to some degree. Check out what jorge chervantes says about this:
I only cut off dead or super yellow leaves in bloom and in veg i always cut off the last few branches at the bottom.
Also the size and potency of buds are not Dependant on how much light hits it; the buda growth and maturity come front light hitting the plants leaves as a whole then transferring carbs/sugars, nutrients and thus emergy to those buds.
Whenever you cut off leaves the plant has to re direct energy to the wound and repair it. How big the stem is and how many cuts dictates the ammount of stress is induced.
Theirs a thread on here(forgot) on how defoliation is a perpetuated myth and theirs pictures of the bushiest plants with awesome yeilds.
Ill try to get some pics up later but i have a white widow 8 weeks in now that i topped to 4-5 top colas. And in the center of the plant is super dense folliage mixed in with mad bud sites. Amd their doing super awesome.
Also when useing HID lamps (depending on wattage) even though the bud sites !ay be shaded pr blockes

If the leaf doesn't pull off super easy leave it , but untill you try it OP and experence first hand if you like it or not you'll only get mixed reviews G/l with your grow

Im doing some defoliation to plant at the moment just to test the theory myself, I first heard of it through searching youtube and did more research but like this thread I always find both yes and no.

The ones that say yes say do it after the buds set in(week3) and never more then 30% at a time, you can do a little at a time daily like I did but there were days when I went crazy but never over 30%. Overall it seems to work well combined with super cropping, lolly popping also done after week 3 of flower it gave a lot of light to the lower buds so now I have overall even size buds. I couldn't say it hindered any growth because Im in week 7 and this plant looks ready and the smell is great.

Also if your not dependent on your harvest for income like me then why not try it I figure there was only so much research I can do I just have to give it a shot and it seems to be working for me so far.
here is a link to video about defoliation he has a few videos about it
here is a couple pics of my plant I defoliated most of the fan leaves the ones with them stem and left the rest

So I am one of those dudes that does not believe the hype until I try it for myself. So with all the fuss about defoliation I figured I would do a side by side with some OG Kush. I can testify that it will do much more damage than good. The girl I defoliated never got big and is slow to flower. It is 1/3 the size of the topped and un-defoliated plant next to it. I will never do it again and I suggest you don't either. Let nature take its course and when the leaves get yellow and start to fade then take it. Or if you have a fan leaf in front of a big bud, you can take one or two but for goodness sake let the leaves be. just my 2 cents.

To those that insist on defoliating this doesn't matter to them. They just insist on doing it, and insist that it is somehow beneficial.
Take this guy in the video. 30 seconds of him tells you that he's a complete idiot.
I'm gonna have to put a call in again to Mother Nature and get her opinion on this.
I'm still waiting on her reply on the .03 PPM and if it's going to make any difference.

Yes it has. You got a problem using the SEARCH option here? Seriously, why in the fuck do guys like you feel you need to revive this shit over and over?
Dude what the fuck is your problem? Bad day or something? This is what rollitup is for, TO ASK QUESTIONS! doesn't matter if its been revived over and over, he just wants input and/advise, not to be shitted on by you. Dude you need to chill.
Better question yet...why do you take time out of your day just to post in someones thread just to put him down because he "dident use the search button? Nwxt time why don't you actually try to give the guy advice, or not post anything at all ?
