Decarb in coconut oil?

Already made the cannabis oil. I used hash. The temp never reached over 160F while it dissolve into the solvent. Is it too late to decarb? I totally forgot to do the decarb step with the hash.

Obviously I'm going to try anyway

Hopefully you tried it be some result came out. I should say something did because you never went past the tipping point temp. Being that thc has a boiling point of 315 F and most other cannabinoids have even higher boiling points. The whole decarb process seems to be an extra step to me if people do the heating process for canna butter. You're going to heat it up anyways but the chemical change may be different. Anyways let me know how it went, might try this myself because of the ease of coconut oil vs butter.

It went great!
Good! Knowing that coconut oil liquifies faster than butter, you can cook It for a really long time for the THC to be absorbed easily. Plus coconut oil actually lasts longer than butter so it can be stored for lengths of time after cooking as well. Having just learned this will make edibles easier to make in the long run. Thanks for replying

No problem. I would recommend mixing it up after you decarb in oil. Something settles at the bottom. Not quite sure what it is. Probably impurities. I did use a tincture

Good to know. I've often wondered if trying to mix bho in it would be easier than flower.

Tis.

Coconut oil heat ~130-150F
Stir in oil with a paper clip or something. You can make it reaaaaaly concentrated. To the point that you could use it topically haha

That is actually a good idea and watching a dr. Sanjay Gupta documentary last night showed a guy who had topical stuff from a dispensary. Mind you I have never made anything like that but I'm curious if I need a specific kind of pot to use and find a blank balm that just needs to be infused. There is a store that has that naturalistic stuff that might work.

No clue. I was thinking mixing thc to oil 1:1 by volume. But I imagine it'll leave a colorful residue. Not rainbows, but likely darker or green if its not an absolute. Put it on a bandaid, hilarious.
