Dear Black Voter..

This whole thread premise makes me feel like I need a shower.

Thousands of different factors were at play in the past election, what a person chooses to focus their blame on says more about the individual than what or who they blame.
Everyone's opinion is welcome here.

There is no 'focus', just reality.

No one thing is to blame and this thread is not meant to place blame..it is to explore.

This was quite huge, yet not addressed.

I'm going to keep asking the question and not fear the equivalent of peer pressure like what you just posted above. You intimated some pretty mean thoughts.

Wow, just wow.

France helped our revolution they did not fight Germany and Russia did a lot more than us to the Nazis would have at the least kept Russia Russia. England probably would have got fucked up though in one of Hitlers speeches he claims to have asked many times for a peaceful resolution but Churchill just wanted war. I don't think his original plan was global domination nor killing Jews but I would have to really study pre WW2 politics.

We did not enter WW2 until Pearl Harbour and it was because of sanctions or some stupid shit that they attacked us. It was not just about Hitler the Japanese might have even been worse than the Nazis.

The Revolution is long overdue we have no more freedom than England!!
We also turned the Jews away en masse.

You called the thread "dear black voter" and then asked them in a condescending way to do their civic duty and vote.

I find it real focused, and blame placing.

Just my opinion though. Glad all are welcomed here.

I get your point.

I get her point as well; if they'd like to see our government working for them, they need to show up at the polls.

To be fair, this is a problem Democrats all seem to share; Republicans definitely vote at higher rates and more consistently than Democrats. This is especially true for down ticket elections and off year elections.

It is also true that Republican led voter suppression efforts have been targeting black people and other minorities, along with the poor (often people fall into more than one group). These efforts have been successful at reducing voter participation by these groups.

Blaming black people isn't the answer. Encouraging them to join the process and fight for their right to be heard- and reaching out and helping in that fight- is helpful.

@schuylaar may not be using all the right politically correct terminology but I firmly believe her heart is absolutely in the right place on this. Rather than bash, let's try to guide the conversation and the effort in the right direction.

Bashing is easy. It's also impotent. This plays into the hands of those who would continue to suppress and oppress anyone who they think might not agree with their agenda.

Why do you think the ACORN Project was such a target of the right wing? It's because they were highly effective at getting minorites to register and vote!

Jeebus Cripes, even I couldn't be this subtle to be blatantly racist.

Sky a lot of PEOPLE were turned off by this negative election. It was not a matter of color, but more so who they felt were the candidates. EVERYONE viewed Obama as a breath of fresh air and was happy to see a little hope and change. Why do you insist on blaming black people for Trump ??? The thinking you have is fucking crazy, bigoted and can be view as racist. Its like when you went to the doctors office and thought you could pay with fried chicken and watermelon...shit not funny and shows your fucking true color. Not stop with this shit which is only going to hinder you from achieving your goal of having some BBC inside you. Yes 9 inches or more can be the norm.

They=black voters. What's racist about that?

It's no secret they- there's that neutral pronoun again- are not being well represented. It's also no secret they aren't turning out for elections, by percentage of the population. Pew Research Center ran the numbers.

Frankly, I want to see black people vote more, because they tend to vote the same way I do.

How is that in any way racist?

Why separate people by their color?

This whole thread is about asking them to show up and make themselves heard at the ballot box.

I think your spin game is making you dizzy.
