Daveindiego grow #3

(2) Chemdawg 91 clones.

Indoor.
600w
Coco with Perlite
House and Garden nutrients

I wanted to start documenting my grows, and I’m starting with my 3rd attempt. With this grow, I have begun attempting a ‘perpetual’ grow, by picking up 2 new clones every 2 weeks. While I am in week 6 of flower with this grow #3, I am also working on my grow #8 right now that is finishing week 1 of Veg after coming from seed.

Any rate, this is my first journal. Any feedback is appreciated.

I have started my ‘weeks’ on Mondays. Here are the two clones from the dispensary that were brought home on 8/25.

5 ml Base A/B, AquaFlakes.
1 ml Roots Excelurator
4 ml Multi Zen
1 ml Nitrogen
1 ml Amino Treatment

I ended up beginning to lose one of the clones.

6 ml Base A/B, Coco
1 ml Roots Excelurator
1.5 ml Amino Treatment
4 ml Multi Zen
1 ml Nitrogen
5 ml Cal Mag
1 gal mix.

6.3 pH
1010 PPM
Fed 1000 ml

Officially lost one of the two clones. Now I’m down to just the one plant.

Transplanted the clone into its final home, 3 gal pot of Coco with Perlite. This was the first time I used Perlite. This is also the last time that I used the 4x4x4 rockwool blocks.

Week 3, Veg
18/6

5 ml Base Coco A/B
1 ml Roots Excelurator
1 ml Amino Treatment
4 ml Multi Zen
1 ml Nitrogen
5 ml Cal-Mag

6.3 pH
880 and 945 PPM
1000 ml per feeding, 2 feedings for the week.

I have begun to mess with nutrients to achieve lower PPMs, as I’m concerned that I have been over feeding more nutrients than necessary.

I also added more coco to the pot to cover up the rock wool block.

Plant is about 12.5 inches tall.

Topped and trimmed.
Added tomato cage
Moved into Flower at end of week.

5 ml Base Coco A/B
1 ml Roots Excelurator
1.5 ml Amino Treatment

I’m still figuring out my nutrients mix. I’m mixing up 2 gallons to get the PPMs down. I’m feeding the plant 1000 ml per feeding.

4 ml Base Coco A/B
1 ml Roots Excelurator
1.5 ml Amino Treatment
3 ml Multi Zen
1 ml Nitrogen
3 ml Cal Mag

Once again, still trying to figure shit out with my nutrients. But this time, the H&G feed chart is barely consulted. I think this period in time is also coinciding with discussion on this forum regarding ‘flushing’ at the end versus tapering the feed to not flush at the end. I’m thinking I’m developing a plan now.

7ml Base Coco A/B
1 ml Roots Excelurator
1.5 ml Amino Treatment
4 ml Multi Zen
1 ml Nitrogen
3 ml Cal Mag

Still trying to figure it out.

I’m now considering this grow to be a conservative nutrient experiment where I’m trying to reduce PPMs. I’m mixing one gallon but needing to add a 2nd gal of water to get the ppm down.

Nutrient mixed to 2 gallons, as I began feeding Grow #4 the same mix. Feeding 4 plants.

13 ml Base Coco A/B
1.5 ml Roots Excelurator
2 ml Amino Treatment
5 ml Multi Zen
1.5 ml Nitrogen
4 ml Cal-Mag

Not much to add here. Same ol, same ol. As I had said previously, I’m trying a perpetual grow, so I had another couple of grows going at the same time. This week I was able to feed another group the same nutrient mix, so I mixed up 2 gallons.

This was a tough week with the weather. I had put my DH into the tent to prevent Powder Mildew, which I’m still battling. The temps got up into the low 90’s, so I had to also add my AC to the tent.

So far, I’m very happy at this point. I wish the other clone survived. Everything looks good.

New recipe for Mid-Flower

8.5 ml Base Coco A/B
3 ml Bud XL

Still been dealing with hot temperatures.

The nutrient recipe is changed for mid-flower. Note, Cal-Mag is not used. I’m still fiddle fucking around with PPMs, and added 250 ml of water to help bring down the ppm.

Everything still looking great.

I noticed the leaves turning yellow this week, which I took as a natural reaction to the nutrients being fed, specifically the Bud XL and Top Booster. Fortunately I made a thread about it this week, and got some help on what appeared to be a very critical problem with my pH. I also added the Cal-Mag back into the recipe.

5 ml Base Coco A/B
2 ml Bud XL
1.5 ml Top Shooter (final late flower nutrient)
2 ml Cal-Mag

And that is now up to the moment. Tomorrow is week 7 of flower.

Comments are appreciated.

I’ll update this one, and will probably document the others I have going on.

pH 5.9
PPMs 927, 1 feeding so far
Plant is maintaining its 29”
Co2 at 1100, need to refill my tank today.

4.5 ml Base coco A/B
2 ml Cal-Mag
2 ml Bud XL
3 ml Top Shooter

I pulled a bunch of the yellow leaves off the plant today. I think it may be rebounding with the Cal Mag. I’m also maintaining that 5.9 pH. I took some pictures of it today, and think that it’s filling in really nicely right now.

Wow great recoveries here. I can only point out that you can likely grow with a third less ppm' and watering to runoff will help clear out the imbalances all those products always cause.

I like to lower nutes steadily during ripening. I finish pretty big plants at less than 1.0 ec or 500ppm of fertilizer in the medium.

And remove the runoff from the trays quickly so the plant does not suck up the extra.

I go for 15-20% runoff. Good to be generous with feed water using bottled nutes.

It is obvious how seriously you are taking this and learning quickly. Great work!
