date molasses?

I have date molasses that I bought from an indian market. I have been using it in my plant for 7 weeks now in veg. I heard that everyone uses blackstrap unsulfured. Will there be problems with my molasses as it seems to have been produced in India

It might not be as refined as black strap but should still provide some food for the microorganisms in the soil. Don't think it does anything in hydro but gum up the res.

you wouldn't believe the pictures i have seen over the years.....

Chris in soil that will not hurt your plants but i am clueless about the ways and differences in molasses from over there. But i have seen several growers use kitchen molasses over the years.

i used CANNA bio soil that was molasses based and had great results but the overall cost got too high.

I do recommend more flushing and adding some enzymes to help break it down and break down unused remnants

What kind of enzymes(brands) do you use abudsmoker? Sorry to drop ? on your thread chris h but was really curious reading.

i use hydrozyeme about 30-40 a quart

but anyone will work. to be sure that its alive

take a little square of notebook paper and put it in the the morning it should be fibers. otherwise its not effective.

this is great for all soil grows though as it helps clean up dead matter and turn it back into usable food for the plants. your roots will be much better and as a result so will your plants

ok nice thank you alot. I already have manure mixed soil from the summer and early fall when I grew tomatoes, bell peppers, and jalapenos. will that be good enough "brown" to mix in or should I just get new manure. P.S. jalapenos are fun to grow, the peppers just keep popping up all year long here in california and they never go bad
