Ive grown it before. Flower time 66-77 days depending on preference, decent quality but a high chance of hermies(i cut all mine because of this) odor is stronggg but sweet so can be disguised well. It doesn't do well with some oil based insecticides but can be eased into regular use. Nute uptake is average but doesn't do well with heavy feedings, start small and work up!
any other questions feel free to ask.
Mold and pest resistant too

I have two going now, 9 weeks past switching to 12/12. The buds are starting to blow up now so I am guessing I am in the last stage. I am having no hermie problems but to me they did seem nutrient sensative.

if you could update at harvest time ,yeild ,quality .mine are looking really sativa dominate. Is that the usual look for this?thanks

Yeah mine do as well. Only reason I would suspect them of being indica is because it says so. They look sativa and take awhile to flower. I saw someone describe the smell as fruitloops and they couldnt be closer to a description, fruity with even a cereal smell to it. Not alot of crystal production compared to other strains I have been growing.

How was the crystal production on yours? I just cut 2 to hang and neither one had what I would consider nice crystals.
fairly non-existent to the naked eye and wasnt impressed with the smoke when dry either, just didnt have any kinda kick to it, also in the 2nd week of flowering it started throwing out nanas on the bottom of the plant mainly on the main stalk but once picked off didnt re-grow

Yeah, yield seems pretty nice, its hanging now. Outside of the yield I am FAR from impressed with it. The couple of samples Ive tried while it has been hanging has been mild at best.

I just kicked dark star out of my line up. Super stinky but not much taste. A numb stoned buzz, not much of a high. As far as TH Seeds go I like their Sage and Heavy Duty Fruity much better.

Yep, the two I grew out were 2 freebies from the Attitude 10 year anniversary, along with 2 heavy duty fruity. I wont ever be spending money to run this strain again. Glad to hear the HDF is better, after this batch I was planning on giving those 2 away and not bother with them.

thanks for all who replied ,im ready to throw these darkstar into flower, from the replies im a little worried that i may be wasting time on these ,we shall see ,some kushage in with them too looking more indica than the darkstar ,hopefully it will be worth it,thanks to all again

I finished up my jar of darkstar a few weeks back. Posts above seem fairly similar to my experience, although i have to admit i thought the high was a load of tosh compared to what i'm accustomed to.

tosh i guess is no good? can you tell me how much they stretched during first few weeks of flowering?

Indeed. Tosh, twaddle, flimflam, balderdash. But as i say, in comparison to what i am accustomed to and as such possibly with a higher tolerance beforehand as a result. I tend to find the majority of strains i grow out are quite mediocre.

Well mine i threw into flower at 12" and they ended up about 5.5ft and similiar story with the HDF, the 2 dinafem that i ran alongside them however were both flowered at 12" and ended up at 3ft

So far I can say its better than mids. I kind of like the fruitloops smell to it. Its pretty mello and since it isnt a bad yielder Ill be smoking it most often. I wouldnt go so far as to say I regret growing it, but it is definitely a drop off from the other strains I was running and most certainly wouldnt run it again. There are too many really good strains to take up space in my grow area for this.

Mine came out smelling like canned cherry pie filling...Decent trichome production, not very dense though...I haven't smoked a great deal of it, but of the 12+ strains I have jarred up, it's probably in the bottom half as far as quality. Smells great, though.
