I changed driver on my order and he raised shipping again lol.
Man pretty soon will be more cost for shipping than parts!
Maybe I should just order cobs from him and get driver locally.
I think I can get china post on just cobs

i hear ya there. the base price of the driver is attractive, but after PP fees and shipping. You just about break even from a US supplier of MW.

I think a big order shipping price will stop going up, and it will be a good deal, but for my puny order...

maybe he miss read your name as assman999 and figured he would rape you a little, lol
I was wondering if he is getting mad because I asked for multiple quotes.
I am new to led and low budget, which is a bad mix for someone with ADD lol

The Veor 29 can screw down, but CXA3070 needs a holder, is this right?
Trying to make sure shipment is light, so it can ship China post with no hassle

I have 6 CXA3070s coming.
I bought just the cobs and no mounts to save money.
Wondering what thermal paste and kapton tape to buy, and besides heatsink and drivers , what else should I buy?

Ok nice.

I need wires and terminal blocks and zip ties and that should be it I think.

What gauge wire do I need?
Are you soldering the 3070's....The mounts are $1.20 or so from Newark....save you a ton of hassle...

But kapton is cool if you are soldering....The tape lasts for a while if everything is clean!

I decided not to use mounts at leaast until I am happy with the setup.

Finally all my parts have shipped.
No wagos yet ordered, and Ill have to see if I have enough wire.
Do the Ideal 50-2234C need a connector, or do they use bare wires?
The seller (Arrow) didnt know lol.
I just ordered them as is so they can get here faster.
One of my drivers got here already HLG-240H-42B.
I have (2) JHX 10S5P coming also with free generic cobs.

Arctic silver coming as well

No extra connector, everything you need to know in the Short little Vid...........I prefer 18-20 gauge single strand wire for the Ideal holders....Multi strand seems to "pop" out if you tug especially towards the smaller range of gauge they recommend...while the single strand doesn't budge...:peace:
