Cut dry short, jars get to 80% RH fast. Ok to leave in open jars?

you can sweat them in a plastic bag for 8 hours, then lay them out to dry again. this will bring the inner moisture to the surface.

No you cannot just open the jars and expect them to be OK. You're about to ruin your harvest to mold.

Do what Demon Trich says - dump the buds in paper bags, one layer deep, put in a hygrometer and wait to jar them when they get to 65%. Even then, if you haven't already got mold, you need to still dump your jars for at least a couple more days and de-clump them by pulling the buds apart.

I'm not sure what you're reading for drying and curing but there's tons of useful information in the stickies provided. None of them recommending jarring them at 80% RH.

If you insist on using the jar, just take the buds out once a day and spread them all out for an hour. Then puth them back in the jars and repeat daily until the RH% is arround the 70% mark. Then you can carry on just by burping untill desired RH% usually is 62%.

So many experts here giving you advice that I don't need to chime in but however I will give you a tad of advise..... Don't rush your dry/ cure . If you are putting it in jars at 80%rh c'mon man..... you can feel it isn't near dry at 80% rh. With that said I don't completely think you are in the wrong , it is better to try to cure it too early "80%rh" than too late "55%rh" at 80% you can just put it in a paper bag as suggested above or just dump it out on a newspaper for the day and correct it but at around 55% your screwed enjoy your hay. So you are doin ok by playing it safe. My suggestion is lay it out by your grow tent exhaust fan or have a small oscillating fan blowing near but not directly on it for a few hours and jar it and check the rh again and repeat as needed , at 80%rh you are gonna need to let it dry a few days in bags or a day with a fan to get it near 70%rh at the same time you need to keep an eye on it. From recent experience I have a jar right now that I jarred to early and my humidity readings were rising after 70% by the hour to over 72 73 % in part because the rh in my house ranges from 67 -77%. I put it by my tents exhaust fan for around 5 hours and my jars rh is at about 62% 63%- , nearly over dried it. At 80% rh you have some time to dry , jar it now and you will wake up to moldy jars. I am not suggesting you rush dry it to 65%and jar it but give it time and let it dry more before you rejar it

Just remember the slower you can dry it , the better it will cure out and taste. So even though you want to put it in jars sooner too slow down the dry time , if you jar it too soon you are turning it all to mold. Patience but attentiveness. Monitor it but do not rush it. As I said my average rh in my house now is 67-77 percent so it could never technically fully dry and cure at this point but my grow tent exhaust is blowing out 55%rh air so when I burp my jars I let them sit by my exhaust to lower the rh in the jars and reseal the lid. It isn't rocket science but perfecting the cure in any and all conditions is the difference between growing okay bud and the dank shit. Trying to jar it at 80%RH is not really a mistake but leaving it in the jar at 80%RH is a huge mistake... Hope I helped.. good luck

If the bud is dry enough to hold its form when you put it the jar and not get squished. I'd leave it in the jar with the lid off in a dry cabinet. Blow some smoke in there to get ur rh down and check it a couple times a day to make sure its not too moist. Lightly shake the jar or take the buds out to make sure theyre not sticking sticking together and trapping moisture when you check them. Continue to check daily until theyre almost dry. When theyre almost fully dry put the lids on so you dont over dry. Check them still after; burp when needed.

If the rh in your house is high then id take them out of the jars to let them dry more or use a brown bag like the others said.
