Curing dry seive kief?

I make dry sieve kief usually using a 120micron mesh. Afterwards I press it into small 2 to 3g bars using a vise. It comes out pretty pliable not brittle at all. It will bend in 2 without breaking. I'm thinking about vacuum sealing some. My question is should I put the bars in a jar and burp them or lay out the bars and just let them dry some. I know if they dry too much they might just crumble apart. Ill probably be storing these for a year at the most, opening and smoking them throughout the year. I'm worried that they might mold from the internal moisture. Any opinions?

Curing hash is the same as curing flower.Once you press you have added moisture in the form humidity.Burp as if flower, this ensure a perfect humidity level, and keep the mold away from your hash.

So after pressing, burp the keif bars until they break when you bend them but not crumble apart? I would like to be able to keep them compressed without the threat of mold. You think this would be OK stored for about a year? I've got oz's of kief. Ill be giving some away to patients but really would like to store some away for future personal use.

Yes sir...

That sounds good to me.

However, what is your press process?

Do you use heat?..do you actually press, as in truly break the resin gland?

Or are you simply compressing kief?

I would advise against the vacuum seal then...

Store as if flower, guarantees mold free, and terps continue to cure creating poly-terps, richer smoke.

I just keep mine in a giant mason jar...

Everytime I open that jar, the aroma gets deeper, more defined and richer.

ounces?...sweet!!... I haven't weighed mine..

It makes purist cry, and I usually don't press mine, but when I do, I use a hydraulic press and a die made out of close nipple with end cap, and a hardened dowel cut in two pieces. I use the same die to make cannabuttons out of ground flowers.

You can also press it by hand, using your thumb and the palm of your hand, if you are feeling organic.

I feel no difference in power keif or compressed when smoked. Compressed tastes better to me.

You hardly feel a difference because you hardly press. You should try to hand press 1 gr or 2 for 15 min and the taste and smell will then blow you away.

You know it's funny you posted this today. Just last night I watched your video with you using a bottle with hot water in it to press and heat the kief. I'm getting ready to extract a new batch of dry ice kief that I was going to put through your technique. Thanks for all the info, I've read some of your posts, food stuff.

way back when we would vac seal it (twice so it doesn't bust) tight as it would go dunk it in boiling water for a moment and its done
