Ya the stomatas are what the plant uses to breath when u have high temps they need to open more as well as low co2. All that really dense bud you see alot is made that way thru running at 71° at running 1300-1500 ppm of co2

You made tea with Hydroguard and sub M and B or straight to Rez.?

I use it both ways....here is what I do....when I first filled system I ran it with Roots to ensure it was cleaned from any thing that was in my well water....after 5 days i begin to use Hydroguard and sub cultures M aan B also....before I do that i check water for Chlorine first from the UC Roots....it does not last long in the system...then when cleared I go live...now every week end I brew tea for the system...2 ..4 gallon buckets using EWC ..ancient forest....kelp...humic acid..alfalfa meal...some hydroguard amd some Sub M an B...brew for 48 hours...put in molasses in at 24 hours so its gone by time used....any Carbos in a RDWC system can cause slime..at least for me...this works great for me and I have spagetti white roots...a bucket full ...

A little hint....do not put in your best strains first time...I used some freebies I had in the fridge for a few years...this way i could experiment and see what works and getting to know the water chemistry...I read tons on different forums and took notes..just incase I ran into problems..
