Cross Idea from the brain of a Newbie grower.

I have a cross Idea I would love to see someone with the knowledge and skills run with. Ill give you the break down and you can do with it whatever you wish, all I ask is if any of you do breed it out, send me some seeds lol.

First cross: Green Crack auto x Durban Poison
Second cross : Chocolope x Sour Diesel Auto
Third Cross : White Widow Auto x Jack Herer
Four Cross: Pineapple Express Auto x Purple Thai

Select which ever plant you would want for male and female on these four then take the offspring of cross one and two and cross them and the Off spring of three and 4 and cross them, and then do one final cross with the off spring of those two. Might just be a crazy newbie pipe dream, but I think the final product at the end of the "Breeding bracket" would be an Awesome plant.

I Hope to try this once I get a few years growing under my belt but I am happy to let someone else use the Idea.

Short auto’s is what I’m guessing will come from this if worked through. Maybe they’d be cool for someone with height restrictions.
Which I have. Looking to pick up various traits will making for a compact plant that is good for those with 2x2 or 3x3 type tents. Lots of people cant afford the huge 10x10 or 5x5 tents. I think this would be a pretty killer strain once its stablized.

It sounds awesome from here. Keep at it. Just be sure to make your seeds stick out from those you’ve grown before. If I were to be making seeds/trying to breed my own thing.. I’d test everything myself, unless you have an honorable roster to help you with 100% transparency. You’ll need to know everything going on.

There are some great auto strains strong auto strains gorilla cookie is truly bushy little plants an litte ist will always take care of the height restrictions if any of such small bushy plants yeah you could grow bigger but if you where running small tent an wanted it full an good strong strain 28% there’s where you’d start your idea Is awesome in its idea but long task when already a bushy auto to use with high potency

Right, for sure, but none of those are MY idea lol. I will likely try this in a couple years once I have the skill set to feel comfortable doing it. But if someone thinks its a good enough idea to run with have at it!

What are you trying to create, or is it a random idea. Because if your trying to get some sort of auto or faster growing plant chances are high that you probably wont with your method. Also with so many people just chucking pollen the chances are someone already tried these crosses (I know jack widow and poison crack already exist) For you to lock any of the auto gene when your crossing a normal photo period to auto you would have to f2 and grow those out looking for the males and females that auto flower and then cross those to f3. If you want a fast semi auto your going to have to look for those plants and lock those traits in. If you just want normal photo period plants then no point in crossing the auto trait into it at all. For fun try them yourself one day and grow out the resulting seeds to see what you get. Let us know how you get on would be cool for others to see the experiments and growing.

Its just a random Idea, More about seeing the terp profile of the end result, and yes back crossing as needed for it to be an auto. Mostly, I think, if done right, by someone (not me) who knows exactly what they are doing, this could be a very well balanced and intreasting cross with an awesome terp profile.

Could be great, its good that your interested and thinking of blends that could come out great. You should defo try it out one day. You should invest in a pack or two of regular seeds for the males(you can get regular male female auto seeds if you was interested in those). Once you find a couple of males you can clone them and keep them indefinitely or you could harvest the pollen and store it long term and use abit when necessary. That way any seeds you have already and get in the future you have the potential to create something unique. You can cross your favorites from the results to your favorites. Each individual male and female mating has the potential to give you something different to a different male female mating sometimes even from the same strains seeds. You should try it. You dont need to invest much money or have a lot of different strains to start the ball rolling. It would only take a few and your results could be endless leading you on many different journeys. Try it one day could be fun.

I will be doing it a couple years from now when i got a handle on how to grow and i know i can do it well.

My advice is get a handle on regular photo period breeding and genetics before you try auto breeding to do that right is a lil trickier and a bit different to breeding photos maybe try a few regular crosses before moving onto fast versions/semi autos/autos when you can of course but at least your thinking about it already though man

Funny truly I was thinking this same different to you but I was thinking coming back saying autos are not simple rudarelis as I learned recently needs be bought in an out at right times to get an auto or you end up with cross bread photo with Ruda
I have three atm ..

Well you cant keep cuts with autos for one thing that are worth it so your approach is a lil different and in a auto x photo you wont find auto dom ones till f3 or more likely f4 chances are so yeah photos are easier to work with to start out and learn breeding imo

Keep in mind, there are cuts and first seed releases (often decades ago) of the strains you mention that put them on the map. In a lot of cases the original magic is long gone from anyone still peddling those lines.

I'd start with really researching the genetics you want to further. Find the breeder(s) still working with the original real deal stuff. If they offer f3+ or bx2+ or ibl, go for those to use when making your initial f1's as they're more likely to pass on the traits you want.

Good advice.
Thats why I made the suggests to the op, also to anyone else who wants to breed autos, get a pack of regular auto seeds. A good easy way for anyone wanting a unlimited supply of auto seeds and a short cut way of breeding alsorts of auto seeds containing your favorite auto genetics is finding and collecting the pollen from the regular auto seed male plants. For example if some finds two males in out of a few seeds from a regular auto seeds pack, collect and store the the two separate male plants pollen batches. Then any fem autos that are brought and grown a small amount of pollen from one of the stored batches painted on the lower branches of the plant will give plenty of regular auto seeds as its a auto x auto cross. Do this with a few different fem autos than one grows and one can very very quickly have a endless supply of auto seeds. With the auto gene already locked into both parents used and the seeds being produced being regular a person can end up no ever having to pay for expensive auto seeds again and from as little as 3-4 starting feminised auto females of different strains and one single pack of regular auto seeds one can have quite a potential mix of genetics to do alsorts of different types for a long long time. I know a couple of people who do regular auto seeds and they are usually very cheep. Hope the info is helpful for those who prefer autos but are on a budget and find it expensive to keep having to buy auto seeds so can make a endless supply, or someone who wants to do some auto breeding and get results fast.

Yeah folks like sovietfinland seeds for example on seedheaven and a few other mostly nordic pages sell decent auto regs cheap there also lines worked outdoors for more resistance and high lats and such there pretty cheap like 15 euro a pack or something so maybe worth a look for folk starting out

I was growing my 1st 4 auto a one did auto they other three decided it was photo fir them.
Two gorilla cookie two kush mintz one kush went auto the other three decided that they where not going that way it could of been I had soil to high nitrogen that lent them to keep going but it was I’m pretty sure what phytoplankton explained bad line of mix leaving my two strains an I thought that funny that two different strains both did it same pack of seeds bought .
