Go gnats
Mosquito dunks
Mosquito bits
GNATROLL
GNATOFF
SPINOSAD

All of which can be added to your res.

All contain different forms of bacteria that kill off the larvae.

Remove any dead plant matter from in and around your hydroponic garden. Do this frequently since the fungus gnats feed and lay eggs in wet, decaying leaves and clippings. Dispose of everything you remove immediately by bagging it and taking it away from the area your hydro garden is in.

Set yellow sticky traps in and around your hydroponic setup to catch adult fungus gnats.

Prevent your hydroponic systems from filling up to the point that the top of your growth medium is constantly wet. You may need to reduce the fill time, so that the tray doesn’t fill up far enough to wet the top of your media, or allow a longer drying out period between cycles to discourage the fungus gnats from moving in.

Add an insect growth regulator, such as diflubenzuron, to your hydroponic system. Make sure the product you choose is labeled for use in hydroponics, and carefully follow the manufacturer’s directions. Such products typically need to be applied once a week for several weeks before the insects cease to be a problem.

Fog the hydroponics room with a fogger containing pyrethrum. Follow all label directions carefully, and only use this product if it is safe for the plants in your garden.

Clean your system completely after harvesting your plants. Remove all traces of algae, and wash out all containers and lines. Run a mixture of 1 ounce of 35 percent hydrogen peroxide to each gallon of water through your system for 24 hours, then drain it off and rinse the system.
