Hello mate thx for your reply the fan on my hood is sucking air up through the hood, taking the heat out off the canopy, when i bought the lid off ebay it did not have a pic off the fan so was a welcome surprise...i will say this a fan is well needed to carry the heat out, i also have an inline fan blowing cold air too...all helps keep my temps at 72 to 77. For the light spec i have duel spec 300w bulbs under the lid as im sure you know for vedge you need blue spec and flower red...im getting a 600w hps for flower, there about 60 quid on ebay including cheap ballast and lid...defo send some pics over as soon as you can janiking look forward to seeing your plants and set up mate...-)

To be honest i think all 4 may be showing tiny tiny signs of girls. I think its just time to flip to 12/12 starting tomorrow. Everyone will get a last feeding of Pro Gro, and then switch to the pro bloom and transition it. Im really hoping girls. but to be honest i was planning to kill off the 2 tall ones due to space so i wasnt expecting all girls from bag seed lol.

The 3 gals looks like they are taking reallly well to my flush i gave them yesterday. tops growth is green and abundant. slightly skinny but okay.

Everyone is getting one last Pro Gro feeding this evening after work and then im flipping to 12/12 tonite at midnite. Ill run 12 on from 12 noon to 12 midntie each day. thatll work out best for me as thats usually when im awake with working nights all the time. Gives me time to check them during the day and water at night if needed.

Bought a bunch of 2700 23w CFLs at work today so time to swap it all out tonite after feeding time!

Well they all got one final Pro Grow feed and i switched to 2700ks. have 12 -23w 2700k and 4 - 23w 5000k in for light now. Timer is set and on. been running it a week to make sure. has battery backup too which is nice. everyone has some good nice heavy green growth on top so i know it took the last botanicare feeding well before my flush i did. calcium issue has finally deceased aswell. Plucked most of the damaged leaves that had over 50%.

All 4 are showing the pistils! Really suprised cuz i dont have the space lol. Ive contemplated dropping $100 quick and gettin a 3x3x6ft tent from amazon. would give me a bit more space and headroom and proper interior lining, but not very hideable or easily colapsable. Gonna weight my options this week and make a decision as i see how fast they pack on size.

First nite of 12/12 was successful. Lights just kicked on an hour ago so timer is running perfect. Looks like temps stayed at about 70 all nite with the lights off which isnt too bad for being in a basement and it getting into the 30s at night here now. Heater running in basement to keep it at 70 so should be good.

Will check back in tonite after work and see how growth is. I have to keep adjusting the lights daily so thats a good sign. Ordered a set of the light rope ratchets. Im getting annoying with moving these chains. $10 shipped for some rope ratchets... well worth it.

Really contemplating ordering the 3x3 tent tonite since my prime is almost up and i can get one for under 100$ with 2 day shipping. Its either get a tent for more space or i gota kill at least 1 of the 1.5gals. Eveeryone is a female too so im really not wanting to kill off one, but i would like more light per plant.

said fuck it and ordered the tent. Woot,itll be here wednesday which is perfect as im off from work. id rather spend the 100$ and keep all the plants to get max yeild then not spend a few bucks and kill off some. I got a nice hefty bonus from work coming anyway!

Well everyone is looking great today. Nothing to really report on.

Light ratchet ropes will be here tomorrow and new tent on wednesday. Deff need the room. big fatty is getting too fat. shes bringing up all the side colas now and i wanna do a bit of tie down to pull them out a bit for light so glad the tent comes in 2 days.

How often do you guys feed when watering? My botanicare stuff says to feed every watering with their stuff, but i feel like every other will be okay. Do most of yal go every other watering with nutes? they got back to back Pro Grow since i had just started that but had to flip due to preflowering already. So now its time to move to the Pro Bloom. I think next watering will be regular water then Bloom after that. Do you guys recommend one of the regular waterings per week be a flush? Ive seen some that say to flush once a week. They took well to my last flush with no signs of problems.

Im also contemplating throwing in a 150w MH in the new tent. my roommate has two 150w air cooled MH units from his fish tank jobs. customer gave him 2 they didnt need. So i could have 300ws of MH and get rid of the CFLs if wanted. ( I like CFLs due to low heat, but with my electricity only being .07/kwh im debating throwin in some badass bud making lights. May save HID for the next grow tho and just learn my first with CFL. Buttttt having those lights just sitting there is tempting haha

Day 36 - Day 2 Flowering

Nothing to new today. Everyone is looking great. Reaching up to the lights nicely. fans are getting biggers. Im glad my tent should be here tomorrow by the time i wake up. Ill get that thing setup tomorrow afternoon on my day off. Will be nice to have a little more space and height. The rope ratchet for the lights are awesome. 10$ well spent. im tired of these chains i have and having to rehook all 4 each time. these ropes will make it a breeze.

All 4 are 100% showing they are girls now. Honestly im curious to as of how long of a flowering period im going to end up doing. I feel liek these could be some fast bloomers since they where preflowering in veg still.

Everyone is sleeping now. gonna drop into the 20s tonite here but the heater is keeping the basement at a nice 70.

Well my tent came just as i woke up today so i watered everyone and let them drip while i built the tent and moved everything over. was nice to mess around for a few hours. Got a 3x3x6 Apollo tent. Very nice quality. everything fit great! Was funny to see everyones leaves droop down while dripping and no lights. once they hit the lights they perked right back up. Gettin real stinky now but the filter is doing perfect!

Got the filter mounted in the back and curved to the fan so i can raise the lights up as high as possible if needed. Love the rope ratchets. so much better then my diy chains. Think i am pretty much finally set now on everything. maybe a few more bulb extenders and then thats about it

Nothing much yesterday.

Today everyone is showing more pistils and starting to get a bit longer now too. Big fatty is growin MAD chutes all over the place and tons of bud sites. the topped tall one is showing more aswell! Lone ranger is doing okay. Everyone is seeming to need water every other day but today lone ranger is still like half wet. lower fans are yellowing as well. im wondering if its wanting nitrogen? i feed with gro 2 waters ago. last watering was just with calmag. so i doubt its mag since ive had that on rotate for a good while now. any help in pics below would be cool. I contemplating giving a dose of gro again or giving Bloom with calmag like everyone else got tonite.

Everyones getting big. and stinky as hell now. opening the tent is the best smellz! Still rocking the CFLs but i did order a 400w mh/hp setup today due to these plants are moving way to much and keep burning the top sets on teh lights. Some days im gone to work for a full 9hrs and cant make it home. I usually come home for lunch break to check on them and temps in the house but sometimes i cant. I figure with a actual tent and full exhaust i mine as well utilize all of my nice tools to add a high power light. im pretty much at 350w of CFLs already. Pics from tonite below!

Are you using some of those small CFLs to light up the sides? I like to get one bulb per branch, whenever possible.

i had ordered the flexible extenders thinking when it say 7inch that the flex was 7 total but hte whole thing is only 7. i have 4 of those stretched out and down to get the other side of the plants but theyve filled out to the sides of the tent already so cant really place anymore. another reason why im going to HPS. no more space for any more CFLs.

Everyone looks graet today. Gave lone ranger a feeding of Bloom+calmag and shes looking better today! The flowering has deff began! bigger pistils and more showing at budsites now. these things are cruising fast, tho the back 2 tall plants are irritating me with stretching so much and hitting the CFLs once again. At least my HPS will be here tomorrow or tuesday the lastest.

I think we are going to take my DIY tent and turn that into the veg tent and my Apollo tent will be for flowering. Time to start getting a perpetual rotation of plants going. We are thinking about building out a large "closet" in the basement to turn into a larger scale grow. With our electric being so dirt cheap it could be nice to do a larger grow then be able to sit on the end result for a good while. Id feel more safe with a room in the basement instead of a tent ( for renting purposes really ) but we will see. The tent is awesome and will do wonders for a good while.

Day 42 - Day 8 Flowering

Well im glad i spend my lunch/dinner breaks at work coming home to check on the kids... cause i am sure glad i did today. Came home to check the tent and all was good, by time i left i had to run down a grab some tape and glad i did cause all power was out in the tent. I was like WTF. started looking at fuse panel and pulling shit since nothing was labeled. no problems. noticed my overhead light was still on so it couldnt have been a fuse. swapped cords no luck. then once i plugged the light in i found out the powerstrip burnt out. swapped out and all glad. so glad that was the only problem. It was kinda old.

Everyone is looking great. they are loving the Botanicare Bloom and Calmag. Fans are getting a nice darker green to the ( not tox levels ) and raelly starting to push pistils. my tall plants have stretched 10" so far. Big fatty is really bushing out. Could take over the whole tent if she really wanted to.

My HPS should be here when i wake up! Everyone will get a watering and then time to rerig the tent again. Im still going to use CFLs for vegging as it was a great experience. But temps dropping to 5* tonite and im battling to keep this tent warm now and i dont want to place a heater inside the tent. humidity is already fairly low around 37% but at least no mold or problems.

day 49 day 15 flowering

Ill get some new pics tomorrow as everyone has more buds going now! The damn tallest plant is getting the copper specs all over again which seemed to be calcium before. Its been getting calmag in every feeding so not sure whats up. as long as it doesnt spread to anyone she will stay. if it gets bad, i may kill it contain the problem. I have noticed a big abudance of these tiny tiny soil gnats coming out when i watered. i popped the pot off quick and no larvas or anything. Got a pest strip at work today and just threw it in there so hopefully that helps. Ive been shopvacing the top layer of soil a bit sometimes too to clean sweep any pests.

Seeing all these bud sites now, especially on the one i topped im thinking about a scrog grow next round. max yield is what im looking for and ive seen some get 4-8oz on a 400w hps. but we'll see! Will check back tomorrow!
