are you talking about growing cannabis? if so, imvho, the only thing that works well is a, a carbon filter, and b, a ion generator..
things like ona gel aren't all that good at covering the smell, again, simply mho..

carbon filter for the tent. air wick for the surrounding rooms on low setting.. just a mild pleasant smell don't want anything overpowering. or otherwise roguehydro has a good deal on ONA.. the apple crumble smell smell pretty good for a bedroom (smells kinda like apples, lavender, cinnamin) for attic, bathroom, or laundryroom you might try ona pro it smells like fresh linen and coconut sun lotion to me (would work well for summertime anywhere).. the ona block is what i have been trying but it only lasts about a month in a room without much airflow or about 2 weeks with a fan blowing on it. still not much more expensive than air wick.

I have been looking into the 4 liter pail of ona liquid polar crystal concentrate... i would use that and make a ONA Jello out of it with some unflavored gelatin. I imagine the 4 liter container would last me 9 months for 40 bucks plus about 10 bucks worht of gelatin.

carbon filter is your main line of defense.
