Couple of questions, female?

Hey, I'm growing 2 plants under a few CFLs, I've started flowering just a few days ago.

I wanted to know if I started flowering too early, the plants are about 5 or 6 weeks old and about 30cm tall.
One of the plants is looking like a female, with little white hairs.

The other plant has no hairs, but i don't see any clear signs that it's male, perhaps it just hasn't been flowering long enough.

So does that look like a definite female?

Another thing i noticed on that plant, a green layer seems to be flaking off around the edges of some leaves.

Any ideas what's causing this? I haven't had any nutrient problems so far, and I haven't heard of this before.

looks like a girl but i'd wait 2-3 days then it should really show....

The second node up from the bottom looks like there is a female flower there . If you have a chance to take some pictures under some bluer light it would make it easier to tell .
