I have a couple purple kush plants here, but both look like they have a little problem, one is growing very small fan leaves, wich has brown stripes on the ends of the leaves, the other looks like a magnesium deficiency, but I feed normal tap water and ph stays at 7, so I'm not too sure what these problems areimage.jpgimage.jpg

Do you pray to a real god? Have you been nice to old people? Can you name any city or town in Mozambique?

I am no expert, but the yellowing between the veins on the leaves usually indicates magnesium deficiency if I am remembering correctly. Also make sure your temps are not getting too cold at some time during the day

Both of these are 26 days old from seed. They are both In a 10 gallon bin, I cheated out with the soil to begin with (bad mistake) and found garbage mixed in with the soil, so I filled another tub with a mixture of 50% 5 year old horse manure and 50% dirt I dug up, and transplanted into that. The horse manure contains quite a bit of wood chips, wich I believe can affect ph?... I have a 600watt metal halide running at about 28" high, (can't go any lower due to heat),running from 6am to 12pm, temps stay at an even 70 degrees at night, and varies from 75-85 during lights on, I did one feeding of Dyna grow foiled feed at quarter on first week, and about half the next. I have stopped giving it any more fertilizer since, I have another 2 aswell, with the same soil medium, treated the same way, but are doing much, much better. Here are a couple picture of my other ones

What did it look like after the dyna? Wood chips can absorb and lock out nitrogen until they decompose. Also, what kinds of garbage, if you list anything toxic, that thing should be tossed, you can take a cutting, but toss that plant.

Unbalanced nutrition.
Plenty of problems showing from burn to def's.
Horse manure is not the best way to go at all. We don't use it or mix it for use here on the farm. It goes into lawn compost to fert the lawn only.

Properly composted Chicken or cow manure can be a good supplement, not a base soil mix.

Next time do not short cut the soil and use real nutrition.

Trying to go organic and water only?
Read The Rev's TLO book and learn more about it and, how to do it.
