I'm not sure if this has been beat to death but theirs these cool 2mp usb cameras. Pretty generic. I found it will be good for myself, but especially when asking others the famous "IS IT READY?"

Here is a pic I took fast of ground up Jean Guy. Not very magnified. It takes some setting up to go stupid far in.

For 30 bucks i figure i couldnt go wrong. Takes some fiddling. Between 20-800x theirs two points that focus at one focal length. Anyways.... Takes some finiky ness but it takes decent trich shots. Good luck! I got this from the Zon.

Yeah, I picked one of these up off of Amazon last year for around $20-$30 bucks. They're not that great. TBH I've got better results from putting a small magnifying lens over the camera eye of my smartphone and taken much better, more detailed photos. You simply zoom in and zoom out by moving your hand (holding the phone) closer or further away to your target.

Yep. You get what you pay for :) I used to do the same thing with my phone. Ill see in a few weeks what they look like through both. I have nothing fresh here.

I confess to being a techno dunce... Can you save images to your computer with one of these usb microscopes?

yes you can save from the usb to your HD. These usually come with software that allow for a movie or still frame capture to your HD.

Hell yeah!! These are awesome :bigjoint:

Very touchy and you need to remember that they do not handle varying depth too well. That is why you are meant to use glass strips to flatten the object.

Some cool snaps I just took. First is the vinyl on my desk. Second is a bud hair that I found on my desk :bigjoint:

Anyone having trouble with the 2MP digital microscopes needs to not use the provided software. Just use VLC media player, or other media player software to run it. Works perfectly.
