Cooking with cannabutter bought from a dispensary?

I bought 4oz of butter from a dispensary for a cheap $20 (2300mg of THC), the brand was Heavenly Sweet Medibles. I've never cooked with cannabutter or anything thc infused so this is a new thing for me, edibles are a great relief for my asthma so its something I want to start doing regularly.

I know there is a maximum temperature for cooking with thc infused products but I have seen some different numbers. I saw a website that said THC combusts and burns off at 375F, but then I read that it was 325F on another website, so what is that maximum temperature? Also I'm confused as to what that number is, does that mean to temperature the oven is set to or the maximum temperature the food should reach while cooking?

My plan is to use the recommended 1/3 cup (or 2.67oz) of butter in the Betty Crocker cookie mix that I bought. The temperature for the oven is 375F for 9-12 minutes depending on the size of the cookie. And it says I can make around 20-30 cookies at my estimation of around 50-75mg of THC each. I'm experienced with edibles and found that 85+mg starts to become too much for me, so even if I do lose some THC to heat I would still only eat 1 cookie at a time.

Should I cook it at a lower temperature for longer to avoid losing any THC to heat or is an oven temperature of 375F okay? Anything I should know before hand to avoid or keep in mind about cooking with cannabutter?

I would lower the temps to 350, but honestly, you'll probably be fine either way. I bake mine at 350 all the time, no problems...believe me!...lol
