this is what I followed. I might be explaining what I did wrong. cause I was going off head. I have it written down. but if I did only add 1 cup of dolomite lime to this 3 cf of soil would I just add another 2 cups? and if I only did 2 cups of that amendments mix I explained, would I add another 4 cups? and re wet and cook again..?

Skip the Dolomite and do the Oyster shell, Soft Rock Phosphate and the Gypsum instead.

Say 1.5C O shell, 3/4 SRP and 9C Gypsum.

Hmm, 3 C Nutrient mix and I would still add some Fish bone meal for long term P - say 2 cups with the other P sources working already.

Add some composted steer (or cow) manure - 5 gallons = more microbes in play and a better humus like end product with some good N! Important in my book!! That stuff is cheap - anyplace with a garden center will have that...

Mix very well , re-wet as needed and recook.....

That link you posted from another board has all the info you need my man. Follow the instructions in it and modify as you learn and gain experience.

Like an earlier poster mentioned, I go ahead and fill my 7.5 gallon breathable, blue Wally World shopping bags (ghetto smart pots with handles) up with my mix, placing a "dummy" pot in top. It's not listed and I just came up with this, but I initially water all the pots with ewc tea I brewed 36 hours to jump start the "cooking" process. Anyway, it's nice to just pull out the cup and slap in the new plant.

Do not use peet in co posted soil it will compost very quick and when peet is composted it turns verry acidic you want to get a book like true living organics by the rev read it dont just throw stuff together you will kill your plants i recycle all of my soil i have a cargo trailer full of amendments trust me read the book or stick to baged soil

Man just use a cup of ag lime per cu ft of mix using peat -- peat tends to be acidic regardless -- and don't worry about compost turning your peat 'verry acidic". Trust me, make your own soil and skip the bagged stuff....like the organic heavyweights around here do.

The REV and SUB(TOOL) have their head up their ass! Layering and spikes are dumb and wasteful not to mention, simply un-needed

Coco for soil building is stupid. Read this

YES and YES!!!!
Fish bone meal is for long or slow release of P. It will be there down the road for bloom and not be available (for the VERY most part) till then. You have minor amounts of P available in your mineral mix that are faster acting and available for the veg period....You WILL need more down the road - Fish BONE meal!

You see, you have fast and medium and slow release NPK amendments....Part of the real trick in water only SS is to balance these for release of the NPK all grow long....You needed LONG term P = That is the fish bone meal.

The cow manure brings forth a rich source of myco's that will contain a more "fungal" side and I always try to lean to the fungal side.
Cow manure will help out with N and add to the soil texture and help reduce clumpy soil...It will aid in the soils ability to self control the pH.

So all of you know what I've mixed in my super soil. I finally got my ph reader. and I measure deep into my trash can of soil and it was ranging from below 3 to 4.5 highest. (my meter only reads to 3 and then just states "low" anything lower than that) I did different spots and was getting the same readings almost all around. will this pick up after everything breaks down? cause I'm afraid of this acidity. its been cooking for about a week.

THANKS GUYS!! YALL ARE AMAZING!

Howdy. I believe you and I are running the same recipe. I bubbled EWC tea to speed up the "cook" as well.
Two weeks later I stuck my saved from certain death jewels in one gal fabric bags and have been amazed daily by their beauty and the foolproof simplicity of organic soil.

A non cloning friend was hacking bottom dregs from his big 3 before he flowered.
I managed to save 13 of 16.
