Converting your extract/oil/bud for use in ecigs, no PG/VG needed!

Anyone using my old recipes for eliquid conversion, PLEASE STOP! I recommended the use of glycerin, something I now know will combust in ecigs into acrolein, the major carcinogen in ecigs.
I have since done some IR thermometer tests of common ecig atomizers in use, and found they get to an average of 500f. VG breaks down at 350f to acrolein, the major carcinogen in cigarettes. Therefore, its not suitable for use in ecigs. I'm sorry. I didnt know, and accepted the common view that its safe. This is why I do these experiments, and why we all need to do more experiments on these new ingestion methods.

Anyways, it isnt necessary to use either PG or VG as a liquid base. There are natural oils which will vape at ecig temps but not burn. Canola wont work, olive tastes disgusting vaped, but hempseed, coco, and avocado work well. Get the more expensive stuff, cheaper tends to be lighter fractions that can burn. I make a blend of high temp oil fractions from hemp, coco, and soy for use in DIY eliquid, but really any high quality high temp oil will do just fine, the only diff is mine has less taste than most suitable hempseed or similar oils.
The cannabinoids will melt and blend easily, its oil -> oil after all.

To convert your extract, heat your oil or oil blend in the microwave for ~15 seconds. should be warm, not hot. Then add the warm oil to your extract, a little at a time, with stirring, until it is dissolved. Dont use too much oil, just enough to get your extract to dissolve. 1:1 ratio at most.

To convert your herb, grind it well, then just barely cover with oil in the smallest possible dish and microwave ~15 seconds, again till warm, not hot. let sit for an hour, keeping warm by nuking it periodically. Then filter it through a coffee filter to get the herb out and youre done. This is less potent than when using a concentrate but still holds more cannabinoids than either PG or VG will in the same volume.

This method will get you an oil liquid that will work in all ecigs, bc its oil->oil it holds more than PG/VG, and bc it doesnt burn like VG in ecigs, you get more clouds, ml for ml, than standard eliquids. If you get a good high temp hempseed oil you can even have a 100% cannabis eliquid. The only downside is that most artificial flavors wont mix into oil (though nic base does) so you're SOL if you want your THC liquid to taste like blueberry scones. But that stuff is toxic anyway.

Im confused.
Weve disagreed plenty over the couple years.
But i know weve both mentioned acroleins formation.

Weve both discussed it for 2 years now...

I do believe you're correct! Forgive my faded memory, I havent been here in at least a year and I lose track.
Anyway, in the past I have recommended it here, and its worth repeating that it was bad advice, esp since many others still recommend it.
