Considering URDWC, advice prease? :)

thank you for your consideration and help.

I have ample space for giant trees, currently in dirt, but i want to switch to dwc as Ive seen some very impressive results and they seem to be a better way to grow.
I was planning on about 6 totes, 1 plant per tote, undercurrent recirculating system with water falls into each tote, and a rez, possibly an air rock in each.

I want to know what I will be needing, and things to look out for/watch for.

1. how many gph should my pump be?
2. I know i will be needing a ppm readier and ph, what are the recommended ppm for the different stages of plant development? and ph?
3. what temps should i keep the water at?
4. what makes the best medium for this style for a first time hydro grow?
5.how big should the totes be? i have a few 15gallon, would 5 gallon buckets be more practical with similar results? can too big a container be an issue?
6. going to grow vertically with 600 watt in the middle of the plants, is this enough?
7. anything you feel like sharing
8. problem areas or other things i should be aware of?
9. anything im forgetting?

thank you in advance, i appreciate the advice and helpful nature of people on this site. I want to know all i can before making the switch.

also: I have been using GH floranova grow and bloom. are these good nutes? is there anything I could be adding that will make the plants happier?
ive been giving my ones in dirt lots of AACT teas can these be used in dwcs? to help with beni-Bactria ?

and, do the pumps run continuously, or are they on timers? if so, how long?

thanks

No disrespect...u can find answers on this site..LQQK for them!
Lots of variables..lots....with many variables comes many opinions...but there are some things that appear as CONTSTANTS..that don't change from person to person too much.
Rockwool seems to be a favorite choice for medium (and hydroton)

larger containers are better as they're easier to control nutes and ppm..but a pain to drain..
Possible SWINGS with smaller containers.....
you need air bubblers inside the container(s)..are you talking DWC reservoir?
What type water are you using? Remember true RO should have ppm of 0 and you may run into nute issues early on as RO is stripped of basic minerals..lots of people use Calmag..I use MagiCal myself..same difference. Hope this helps..

I'm a Technaflora guy and I'm quite happy with them. I don't comment on other types as opinions vary.

1.There's no set rule. I find most people use alot more pump than needed. IMO if you circulate the entire volume 2-3 times/hour your good. More recircs/hour is fine too.

2. Start around half the ppm you would use in soil, adjust from there. 5.8 is the ideal PH

3. 15-20 deg C

4. Most use expanded clay (hydroton)

5. 5 gal is the norm and you really dont need any bigger unless your lookin to grow 10 footers.

6. Not really...

7. I like soup.

8. Root rot, PH swings, algae growth and nutrient deficiencies.

9. Probably
