Connosseur Genetics' OJ's Haze

Vegged 4 weeks, been flowering for 5. Once they went to 12/12 they shot through the roof! There's only two plants here, but they were both 5 feet tall and growing at an alarming rate, so I did some lst on them last night. I got plenty of head room, so I'm not that concerned about the stretch. These things are very sativa-leaning, which is what I wanted.

Starting to take shape.

So far these are very nice plants. I've pruned some lower flowers and looked at them under the 'scope. Very nice trichome production already, and the trichomes themselves are uniform with globe-like heads. Had some SLH that had a lot of flattened heads and crooked trichome stem. Not sure what it all means, but it's interesting to note.

Just a wee update on these. The two bigger plants (4 weeks veg) are in week 9 of 12/12 and looking like they might go at least 12 weeks. I germed 6 and got 2 females in the first run, and two phenos: One is very conical and classic sativa structure, while the other is more of a cluster bud, and much denser and heavier. Both smell great, and both a bit nute sensitive.

I had five more seeds so popped those as well (1 male and 4 females in that batch, so 6 females out of 11 overall). These were flipped to 12/12 after a week, so basically from seed. There's two 400 watters in my room.

End of week 10. Things have levelled off considerably. It seems all the extra bulk has been added and this past week there really wasn't much growth. Might let the one on the left go one more week, and the one on the right two.

End of week 11 of 12/12. It's Foxtail City, but they could go another week. Cannabis really isn't pretty in the last 2 weeks, especially gnarly sativas.

Have sampled some lower buds and the buzz is great off this weed. A semi-proper smoke report will follow final chop, but for now I'll say this is a typcially upbeat sativa high. Very heady with no body (keeping in mind most trichomes are clear at this point and only starting to cloud), and very long lasting (3 hours). Every now and then it can make you a bit anxious, but usually it's doing that chatty-chat, super-social sativa thing. As close as I've seen weed come to having a cocaine effect.

very nice thread. i've been really thinking about this strain and from the looks of it i just might have to get a pack. what line of nutes are you using? they look like they are going to yield nicely for you. thanks for sharing.

Iguana Juice in veg, then Organic Tea in flower (both from the same company whose name eludes me at the moment). They don't need all that much, though.

I think the yield will be good. The one's in week 6 that were 12/12 from seed look very cool. I cropped the lower branches off those ones early so they've go a very tight, single cola bud formation the length of my arm! I'll throw some pics up of those soon when they fill out.

Cant wait for some dryied bud pics.

These are done at 11 weeks and 3 days. I cut them last night and they're hanging to dry. Sticky, sticky. The photo used to advertise this plant with on Attitude really blows, but I'd say this has a bit of that dready bud formation of the SSSD, which I have seen some good pictures of. Anyway, I'm smoking on some early lower buds at the moment, and enjoying the buzz alot. It's not really massively overpowering (maybe the stuff I cut last night will, especially after the cure), but gives a nice sativa lift. I even find I can smoke it a lot and not get to that sativa blank-out stage. Trichomes I got into the cloudly range, still some clears, and a few amber.

...and in the jars. Hung and dried 5 days. 48 dried grams off of one (the smaller of the two) so I'm happy with that, considering no special yield-increasing measures were taken.

looks great, they sure took their time to fill out for you ehh?? typical sativa dom though, but looks sick..

i've got a pack of these around here some where another, and this is the first gj that i've seen on these, so i'm dying for a proper smoke report on them..

Total sativa dominant, in the time they took, the way they budded, the way they smell, and the way the buzz is, at least on the early harvested stuff. A very honest sativa.

The smoke report is coming, but I like to give it a bit of a cure before the official report (though I will be and am smoking it right now).

And just to put a cap on things I thought I'd try and take some flattering photos of this bud trimmed up a bit better. My camera doesn't do it justice as it really is caked. A wonderful plant to watch grow into itself, and rewarding at harvest with a decent yield (this thing could provide monsterous yields if vegged longer and scrogged).



As far as the smoke report, I'd say this weed impacts mood more than any weed I've smoked. It just shoots you into this good mood where you're very talkative for a bit, then it settles, and allows you to go engross yourself in something, anything for about two hours. After 3 you're pretty straight again, and ready for another. It's second-round power is a bit diminished, but still there. This stuff has only begun to cure, though, and I expect it to change a bit with the cure.
