So I have a question? I'm on my 5th small closet grow and have used fox farm trio without any problems but it's getting a little pricey. I do compost for my outside garden (mostly tomatos and hot peppers) but I was wondering can I just use that nasty juice from the bottom of my compost container to feed my 8 or so plants? how much would I use? I no to some people this is a no brainier but I'm still kind a newbie(only growing a year and a half now) but thanks for any and all comments

Ok so 91 views and nothing so maybe u need what's in the compost. It's mostly grass clippings old tomato plants leaves from the trees and some odd food from the house(not much food) so do u guys think I can use the nasty juice from the bottom. I have plants in veg and in flower. Would it work for both or neither? Thanks again for any and all answers! If you'd like I could put up pic's of plants or compost or whatever

Don't use the juice, use the compost! If you want to avoid using those bottled nutrients, you could get away with something as simple as mixing some additional dry fertilizer and compost into your soil. Fox Farms makes some decent "all purpose" fertilizer blends (check out the Happy Frog lineup).

Better yet (in my opinion) start reading up on soil mixes and blend up your own from scratch. Then re-ammend it and reuse it over and over and over again. That's where the real money savings comes in.

If you're already producing your own compost, you're ahead of the game. That's the key piece in any organic system. USE IT!
