I have been out here for a couple years now, and I'm still confused as to where the community is? It seems like you're either stuck going to an overpriced center if you want meds, or being told to attend a RIPAC meeting if you want patients...but there are no real introductions made, as they prefer to keep that a closed circle of friends as well.

The few people I've tried to interact with, conduct themselves along the lines of drug dealers and users, versus patients and caregivers. You want to help patients, they want to take advantage. You need meds, the centers are a rip off, and compassionate, quality caregivers are hard to come by. Apart from the legal protection, it is far more difficult and dangerous to be involved in the cultivation and use of medical marijuana than before it was totally illegal.

In addition to that, the message boards regarding the state are all but dead...

You are right. It is even worse in South County, imo.

I have found plenty of potential patients, but they almost all seem to be people I don't want to deal with. They are on the hustle for one thing or another, have outrageous demands, and/or are just generally unreliable. Things you don't want in any type of interaction.

I just want to help a very small group of people, who are in need, cannot afford the outrageous prices at the centers, for essentially the same quality top shelf meds (or better if you're leery of their in house testing numbers), without the silly games.

But I think those types of people are already going to the centers, or get pointed to locals at the meetings.

I can imagine...less populated for sure. Although I would hope because it's more rural, the people would at least be more polite about the aggravation.
