Looks like a decent setup

To get more out of your lights raise your whole plant up using books or something so the top of the plant is 2 inches from the lights. Or somewhere close to there

lol, ok, sweet as guys, thanks, will do.

another question, i think the plant will have 3 nodes soon, when can i start feeding? or do i feed at all? my soil says on the bag "Soil Enriched With NITROSOL Plant Food" . doesn't say how long will feed for or anything. and also, umm i know its a newbie question but...does soil have a Ph? or is a Ph Test only for the water? like when i get my Ph test kit, will i need to test the soil & water, or just the water?? lol sounds so dumb.

but yeah, help would be appreciated. thanks guys.

Id yu're using soil with nutrients, WHICH YOU ARE, then dont feed the plant until they're at least like 6" tall. Wehn you do start adding your own ferts (and you might not even have to add ANY) use diluted strengths.

Soil and the water you're adding have different PHs. The trick is to water your plant with some neutral water and bottle up some of the runoff water. Test its PH and change your next watering accoridingly.

Say your runoff PH is 5 then you're going to want to water with some PH 7 water. The re-test the runoff and keep adjusting each watering. Fertilizers change PH and since your soil has ferts in it it will be imporant to check the run-off water

Happy growing

Your soil has nutes in it and you shouldnt add any ferts until the plant is like 6" tall at least. Even then use diluted amounts.

YOu need to test the ph of your water and soil. Next time you you water take some ofthe runoff water and test its PH. Now you know if you need to up the ph of your soil or lower it then water accordingly. For example if your runoff PH is 5 then you'll probably want to water with some 6.5-7 to raie it up a little bit. DO this every watering so you make sure your soil PH is good.

Dont go to extremes with your water ph tho. Dont make it 8 or 4 or w/e to fix your soil ph.

The run-off is water that comes out the bottom of your pot when you water your plant. Catch some of that and test the ph. It gives you an idea of the ph of your whole system (water, soil, fertilizer, deposited salts; everything combined)

cool, but i have a pretty large pot, and since ive been watering, i havent even seen any water come through the drainage holes. am i giving the plant enough water? at the moment i have a spray bottle that is set on mist, and im just watering the dirt, all of it, until the top looks moist enough.

and i have perlite in there, maybe its retaining alot of the water?

dunno, help? lol

Perlite makes it drain better

To water keep giving it bits of water saturating the soil until it drains out the bottom. Dont pour it all in too fast or itll come gushing out and youll have a mess lol. But yeah water until it comes out the bottom and dont be afraid of just pouring the water on top.

Then dont water again until its dry 6" deep. The roots will grow out trying to find the water
