Columbian Black or Gold? Which should I go for?

Hello everyone,

I would like to grow a strong, psychedelic columbian sativa. The two options I settled on are Columbian Gold and Columbian Black from Gage Green Genetics. I want the most psychedelic sativa possible, which I will later cross with a Zamaldelica x Jack's Cleaner II hybrid for indoor and outdoor growing. Does anyone have any experience with these strains? Which one should I go for?

On an unrelated note, does anyone have any experience with United Seedbanks? (http://www.unitedseedbanks.com/index.php)

Thanks in advance!

I have seen the Colombian Gold ( Single Seed Centre if I remember right ) make some beautiful plants although I was not around at harvest time but was told by multiple people it was very good in a 70's way.

Neither of those are true landraces and I wouldn't grow them. Honestly any gold or black you should stay away from. There's about a dozen solid strains coming out of s.a... None are called Columbian gold etc except by people up here.
They look horrible

And if you've never had psychedelic weed you need some heavier Sativa's. I pretty much only grow s.a landraces

It is. And that's not even close to a real columbian. Its like if you saw that pic and I told you it was chemdog or sour d. Both of those heavily dominated by the landrace Mexican sour have a very distinct structure

I've never smoked any psychedelic pot before. Do you know something you aren't telling us?
Some sativas are so heady, they are comparable to low doses of mushrooms or lsd (at least with me). And I can certainly get closed eye visuals (and sometimes simple open eye visuals) from particularly potent sativas. Besides the visual effect, strong sativas can seriously mess with time perception and sound, as well as stimulate philosophical thought. This is what I call a psychedelic sativa, something that is downright impossible to get in my part of the world. This is why I am trying to create my own sativa dominant hybrid. I smoked Columbian Gold before, and it was amazing! Trippy and euphoric, just what I'm looking for. So yeah, that's why I'm wondering about Columbian strains...should I go for Gold or Black (both from Gage Green)?

Wow, that's pretty fucking cool, actually. I guess my game is just fucked up. What do you feed them thangs? Double cheeseburgers? I would honestly suggest you take Qwizo's advice about this one. But, it's really sort of a personal preference..

So guys, if not Columbia Gold/Black, what should I be looking for? What is the trippiest, most euphoric, most visual strain you have ever encountered?

I wasn't vouching for the authenticity of the seed, just saying what they obtained, where they obtained it and what the result were.

IDK, boss. To me, it's a different thing entirely. Never felt "electric" from any weed, nor experienced "white light" or other aspects of what I consider to be real psychedelia. Maybe I can picture or think of certain things that are psychedelic while on weed, but that's about it. But, like I said before, maybe my game is just weak.

I believe these are originally from bco unless I am mistaken. GGG scored some and grew them out.
be prepared to spend some time on them...up to 22 wks on the gold and up to 26 wks on the black.
very hard to grow indoors, very nute sensitive. if you can pull it off you will be rewarded.
best course i think is to veg the hell out of them and flower the cuts straight away
a lot of info here:

btw, i do not recommend bco for purchases. they are extremely difficult to deal with

Thanks for your reply! The long flowering time does not bother me. When growing pure sativas, I start flowering in the greenhouse, then bring them inside around the beginning of november. Also, I will be doing just one run of CG/CB, because the purpose is to select a dank mother to breed with my Zamaldelica x Jack's Cleaner II, not to keep growing the strain indefinitely. Thanks for the tip about bco...I'll stay away from them...

I smoked what I was told was C black when I was 12. It was my first time smoking weed and I remember sitting in a chair and it felt like I was falling to left over and over again along with slight trails from my hands. It was also my first panic attack lol, I ffn freaked out. Good luck on your grow.
