Not last year. There was general admission people in cup same time as VIP people. Now the line for GA was crazy long. Id get GA ticket this year and go hour or 2 after doors open and walk right in.
What was in last year goodie bag for VIP, I know they were limited because of Colorado regulations

Yeah the regulations are killing the cannabis cup, they weren't suppose to be giving anything away last year. A bunch of the booths were just like fuck it, but those were out of state people , all the instate guys if caught will lose their licenses so kinda killed a lot of good Colorado booths. Plus the first year I went to the cup they had Wiz Khalifa and it was amazing.

I hate waiting in lines so much I'm still tempted not gonna lie.
I hate lines to thats why i went VIP but last year all the VIPs stood in a room for an hour waiting for them to let us in. 8 or more lines wide with 50 people per line, it sucked. Then i skipped getting my VIP bag to get to the good seeds and get in cup and theres a bunch of general admission people already in. So an hour after im at cup and got my seeds i walk out to get VIP bag and theres nobody waiting in general admission line anymore.

I wonder if they'll do it that way again this year? Did they say in the description last year and the year before that if they included that with the VIP tickets or not?

Im not sure what there including with VIP this year or 2 years ago, i only went last year and it was a cluster fuck. Attended the award show, sat in on djshort, dna, kushman conference and went to cup all 3 days. Not letting 99% of the booths give out samples or sell them really really put a damper on cup. Choices for great weed was zero, good weed was barely available, BOG had some damp nugs for sale and 2 other booths had low grade. I had more fun in city of Denver and meeting people everywhere then at cup. Took the weed tour bus and that was fun, visited the 1up bar to jam out on some pinball and hotel burn sessions were highlights of trip.

Kudos to the mayor of Pueblo or whoever it was that picked up the phone to High Times and moved the event. Whoever made that call brought a lot of money to Pueblo. Pueblo is going to continue to grow off of this single event. It will now be on the map. Denver delegates dropped the bong.... and all the money that goes along with it.
Pueblo has been wanting to get in on the action... now it is. Congrats to Pueblo.
As said, it's something to do with the sheriff and permits. They basically blocked them.

Personally, I think it's a terrible idea to go to Pueblo but I get it. I don't even really like the HTCC all that much, it's kind of a joke on all fronts, kinda like most dispensaries, mostly for custies. Only reason I was gonna go again was because it's so close and you can pickup stuff for cheap(sometimes) and lots of vendors have their cool rigs on display, the Mothership booth was cool but crowded AF last year. Plus it's cool to meet people and smoke in line and shit, that is the best part I think, lol.

Its gonna be even more of an amateur fest now they've moved it so far from the Denver cannabis culture. Not to offend anyone here but the majority of people that are really into quality cannabis and extracts wouldn't even think about consuming most stuff they offer at the cup. Now that it's down there I can only imagine how bad its gonna be. It's mostly for older folks and younger folks that think they are serious but haven't been introduced to the upper echelon.

lol, I know I sound like an asshole weed snob or whatever, and I kind of am, lol. But it's true. Before I moved here and lived here for a year or so, I knew nothing.

I have heard some mixed reactions about buying seeds at the cup(poor germ. rates, old stock, ect). Anybody have a bad experience?
I've had no trouble.

In Manitou springs they have a couple 420 friendly hotels. Also check out the lazy lion, pothole or any other A 64 clubs in the springs, where the locals go. Lots of outdoor stuff to do if you are in town a few days, check out Cheyenne mountain zoo and Helen hunt falls.
But really though? I've heard almost nothing good about any of those clubs. Didn't I see something about one of em getting shut down recently?

I'm north of denver and would love to go down there for some beans. Any idea how much a pass to just the first day would cost? As well as seed prices as the cup?
$70-$90 a pack iirc.

Its gonna be the super bowl of weed. Did you flower that alien strawberry yet? I have some new genetics you might like.
LMFAO. There are much better, much less "corporate" events, where the judging is done by people that actually know about good cannabis and not determined by how much you spend on booths and advertising with HT.

Last year I paid 35$ per person for my tickets(early bird special), 140$ for 7 seeds from OG raskal.
Damn! That seems crazy to me. You guys need to follow some people on facebook. Send me a PM and I'll link you. There are killer seed packs produced right here in CO that are killer strains for non-custie prices. There is even the occasional pop-up seedbank, probably be one around 4/20.

VIP gets u in 1 hour early.
Not that I saw the last 2 years. Last year we were one of the first at a couple of booths.

Don't be mad just cause it's farther away from you now lol. Pretty much all dispensaries have bunk weed, regardless if you're talking about Pueblo or Denver.. The only place i've found that has mediocre to good bud is kind love (cam use to) and is still no where near the quality of most home growers I know here in pueblo. Kind love's product is worth no more than 150/oz, it blows my mind to see people paying the 240-270/oz they charge...

I'm getting off point here.. Most people who are into quality don't trade at the cannabis cup, they trade with other growers - where you can straight up trade buds and not pay ridiculous prices.

If you don't like what they've done with the cannabis cup then don't whine and bitch about it. Just don't go. I live in Pueblo and although it's nice to be close to it, I really could care less one way or another. I'm not gonna sit here complaining and bitching about it. What good is that going to do?

I guess pueblo is giving them shit now too?

A Note Regarding the US Cannabis Cup in Colorado HIGH TIMES continues to push forward with securing all approvals for our 2016 U.S. Cannabis Cup in Pueblo, Colorado on April 22-24. As has been true for 41 years, hurdles and obstacles have continued to be put up, but we are going through every possible channel, meeting with officials and amending forms to make sure we can celebrate and educate people on cannabis in Pueblo. We should have clarity in the coming days, and we will update you in real time with our status.

They want to make sure there's enough port-a-potties.

Lol. I guess I'm not aloud to join the discussion or express opinions. I'm sorry some of you feel the need to get personal over what I said. If you wanna just sit in your houses in your hug boxes and think your own shit is the best in the world or that HT or the cup are legit then who am I to stop you?

Sorry for attempting to bring you guys into the modern cannabis world. The HT cup is for people that are still "old world", that actually read HT and haven't moved onto one of the 5 or so actual good publications. For those that haven't moved into the facebook groups or other, more modern online communities(do you even Hash Church? lol). If you haven't noticed, grow forums, even ICMag, have become wastelands.

My point was lost a bit I guess. Which is the HTCC is a joke. I mean shit, (Hitman)Dougie is a joke now and so is Chalice but its more respectable than High Times is at this point, lol.

And I'm certainly not mad, maybe a little disappointed now that its going to be even more of an embarrassment on the community now that it's gonna be even more amateur / mainstream and in the middle of nowhere as far as many are concerned. Even in Denver the last 2 years it was going way down hill thanks to recreational. So it will be the same in that respect but with such a change of venue so far from Denver it's certainly going to be different.

Who knows!? Maybe it'll be more low key and respectable getting away from all the bureaucracy and shady shit of the "pot barons" around here. When LivWell, TGS, Riverrock, others like them win awards you know something is corrupted, lol. I mean, I'm sure the bigger guys will still be there, because it's their livelihood and custies is custies. So you guys can still pick up some $200/g sift from Cuban and $150/ea clones from "Big Mass" and $20 per seed while you are there, lol.

By all means have fun down there in the desert. It must make you feel good to see all the shitty weed on display and winning the cups so you can say how much better your own stuff is.

PS> I know my stuff is better than any dispensary you can find, or for that matter most of the shit I see posted online, I've got that soil grown organic fire and unlike most I don't judge how good my grow is based on yield. When you stop focusing on vegetative yield and the size of your buds, something magical happens. Although I am still tryin to get my terp preservation game on point, looking to build a month long dry box. But I also know there is even better grown here in Denver and I am aspirating to that, looking to improve and expose myself to better people and knowledge, not rest on my laurels. I'm sure there is good shit down there too but Denver is the center of the culture for this entire area of the country.

You should host your own cup and show everyone how its done.
And I don't need to start my own cup, we already have plenty put on by people that actually know whats up and the events are actually respected and enjoyable. Hit me up if you ever graduate.

I went to the cup a few years ago, best part was meeting Steve beer and talking glass for a good 20 min. Picked up a sweet direct inject rig with a worked shield and marble on the side. Sad to see his booth sitting empty while there were lines around some booths to get a free dab of some straight nasty. I smoked and dabbed my own stuff with my own glass. That shit is gross when they have people giving out huge dabs to the point every single person is spewing spit and snot all over the rig and the table. If your lucky they will wipe the mouthpiece with a iso pad that's been in use for the past 2 hours.

Now, I take a day or two off work and bbq with the homies. No lines, no bad vibes, no arm burns from people walking around with their blunts at their wast.

Iam not knockn anyone that's going, my opinion everyone should go at least once. Hope everyone that is going has a great time!
